Lsu players only meeting

Players only meetings are almost always good things. It’s where leaders step and lead. When I played baseball at Belmont many years ago we were just going through the motions and losing game after game one year. We had a players only meeting to air some grievances, some leaders stepped up and we won the next day 22-1.

That’s great. And most of us remember our players only meetings over the last 10 years. They did not help. at. all.

Kelly said earlier this week that the QB needed to press the pass more, even if it resulted in a pic occasionally. He’s (the HC) hell bent on getting the ball to his wideouts. Can’t blame him, there’s talent in that group but they haven't gotten the ball enough to really contribute. I still believe we stand a better chance if they try to throw the ball and make this a track meet.

The funny thing is everyone is playing into this trap of trying to out offense Heupel. When you look at LSU’s passing stats and look at their Oline you get a good idea whats wrong with this offense. Our secondary is terrible but I don’t see LSU becoming a great passing team all of the sudden and we will be sending pressure.

I'm 100% positive LSU is going to put it all together and play their best game of the year against us.

But it won't matter. They need us to help them out a lot big time and it ain't happening.

That should do the trick! Somebody better tell the rest of the NCAA football teams about these "players only" meetings because now there is no hope for victory. Just imagine if Vandy and South Carolina start having these "meetings" on a weekly basis, we might as well just shut the program down. Next thing you are going to tell me is teams have been doing these for decades and we are just now hearing about it

Sometimes that backfires but more times than not it inspires and they come out on fire. Vols better buckle up and bring the AAA game!!

That's not even remotely true, players only meetings happen all the time and are encouraged by coaches to build chemistry and accountability. I am sure the Tennessee coaching staff has encouraged its captains to hold them as well and likely have if we have vocal leaders. The vast majority of them aren't publicized. We need to have one every week on defense lol

If they are having a players only meeting the week of the game then they are worried or about to pull some NIL/transfer crap like SMU players are doing. We are going to kill them.

What is your evidence that Heupel is a better coach than Kelly? He may be in the long run but right now Kelly’s track record is far superior than Heupel’s 3.5 years of coaching
Would you trade Heupel for Kelly today?

Would you trade Heupel for Dan Mullin today?

No point, just curious.

I have a feeling Boutte has an attitude. Anyways supposed top 2 WRs last week had like 2 catches for 10 yards.

RB Emory was only one with a good game last week.

Every week is different so let's bring our A game and not worry about what we can't control.

Is it just me or any time a UT opponent has a players only meeting before a game it spells bad news for the Vols?

And this is news? Good lord!
Good lord, you didn’t have to read it. Seen it, thought I would share it seeing as they are our next opponent and it was newsworthy enough that their beat writers wrote about it
