If this is true, I will like Campbell even more. He has been a great addition in so many ways.So this is fan opinion reading tea leaves Eric talking not any inside information.
But as I've followed this one and from what I've gathered is that the money has been very good this whole process. But we/Campbell were not keen on the idea of promising/offering up the LT position which was a huge deal to Heard.
If you listen to pod and followed all the comments this weekend RT was all that was mentioned for Heard. Yesterday something had to have changed. The VQ staff mentiioned that our staff handles the portal very transparently with the current players and has meetings with the players to discuss additions. I am GUESSING that somethign like this happened and Campbell is willing to slide to RT to help the team. Maybe he is getting an NIL boost to make this worth it for him?
But for the first time through this entire process last night as soon as we started to surge the VQ staff started mentioning Campbell to RT. That has to matter IMO.
This is tea leave reading once again, but I hope this is the case and this one gets closed out and if so our OL will be in a good place for 2024 and will have a huge piece locked in for 2025 as well.
In that case we are really playoff contenders if he isn't even starting. That means Nico is protectedNo one knows that including you .Ridiculous statement because no one knows how he will play once he or anyone else arrives including the freshmen OT's signed this year.Fact is they may someone on the roster now that would outplay him and start .
No, no...he's Gerald Mincey, Part II.Are you kidding me? He was a Freshman who played in twelve games. That’s pretty rare in the SEC. He was one of the top OT in the country in high school with almost no experience at the position. He’s 6 5” and over 300, and athletic. Every service sees him as a first rounder when he goes. If there is a red flag, someone should hit you with it.
Ole Miss RivalsWhat site is that?
If he’s affected by disasters, TCU should put in a pitch with the Ft Worth explosion.
Heard isn’t coming to visit this week because he lost a teammate and people took that as we were moving on from him.
Both Oklahoma and Tennessee sources have reached out in regards to five-star offensive tackle Zalance Heard. It seems both parties didn't get a good read on Heard during his visits, but Pete Golding seems to be the key here. He and Heard are tight and Ole Miss has made him a priority and essentially the "future" of the offensive line. Keep in mind, he's quite familiar with backup quarterback Walker Howard so the transition would be seamless

Ole Miss Rivals
from the Ole Miss 247 site:
Ole Miss 247 mod also said that Mincey was their last OL target left in the portal, so who knows
just sharing what I come across on here
Lets line this up with what AP, Eric, and SF are saying.A few years ago, folks talked about Harbaugh as being one of the most overrated coaches in college football and there was hot seat talk.
I think they have a fantastic staff, though.
So....still All Vol!!Lets line this up with what AP, Eric, and SF are saying.
They seem to feel good about our chances if he's making a decision with 24 OR SO hours.
If he decides to take other visits, not so good.
Looks like its trending other direction. But guess we'll see. Could just as easily be trending toward us.
