‘23 LSU transfer OT Zalance Heard (Tennessee)

I heard AP say some are speculating that it may have been a done deal to Ole Miss before he even entered the portal. If so, sounds a lot like tampering.
The fact that kids can have agents makes the whole tampering thing kinda impossible to prove. It's obviously happening... they'd be stupid not to be doing it. I am a player thinking about hitting the portal I tell my agent to reach out and see if there is interest first. For those higher end players that do have agents thats a thing. But its nothing to complain about because EVERYONE with sense will be doing it. In fact, I would hazard guess it's more coming from the player via agent to teams than the other way around. There are agencies with multiple players in multiple sports across the schools. You think when they are talking to the collective about the guy he has there he does not mention their other guy at school x who is unhappy?

Who at Ole Miss is spreading all this NIL money around. I didn't think anyone from Ole Miss had any money. Well...except maybe a couple of Mannings.

Good question but they’re spending like there’s no tomorrow.

I get cracked up by some on here who swear every single player that enters the portal is a must-have or will somehow help us win a title. Film don’t lie. I’ll trust that and evaluations from dudes who get paid a lot more than I do to know who the best fits are.

Someone posted that it’s some former ceo or something that got caught embezzling money that’s running the collective. Checks out.

The Mannings and the Dunlaps. Theres another aswell. They have bought in on lane kiffin. Dont blame them, hes done a good job for what that school is.

i feel like this Ole Miss portal season is a lot like the show breaking bad.......

great story, full of intrigue and nefarious shenanigans....

but we know how it ends, right? it's a chemistry experiment that could definitely blow up in their face. or not.

Lane wont allow it to do that. Again, he is a really good X's and O's coach. He has shown that time and again. Granted he has really benefited from a pretty easy schedule, and low expectations.

I think they'll win 10 games, again. But anyone expecting a SECC is ****ing nuts.

the schedule is the x factor. it is easy and i'd say between them and missouri, they should both cruise to 10 wins in 24. and while i agree with you about his x's and o's, he also has the tendency to not get out of his own way a times, and i can see scenarios where this roster doesn't gel right, he under delivers and it blows up. if it does gel and he doesn't screw it up.....they have enough talent to win it... their schedule is 3 games. @lsu, OU at home, and UGA, i forget if that's home or away. but roster wise, they're better than 2 of those teams.
they could be 11-1 in a rematch against UGA. i think that's the ceiling. the floor is probably 9-3.

Oh he will lose a winnable game because overthinking it.

You mean the coaches here who are trying like hell to land this kid?

There are reports of where guys are gonna transfer to before they enter the portal all the time. Everybody does this.

No, we would have played in the SECG last year under the new format. And that’s with Bama and Georgia both on the schedule.

And Ole Miss has never — ever — played in the SECG. We’ve played in five.
Ole Miss would have played in it this year if the new format was in place.
