Yea, I think #5 is about right, just behind the 4 unbeaten teams , Georgia, Ohio State, Michigan and TCU. I'll also say I think my Ducks move up to #6.

Lance Leipold actually scares me. I don't want him in the SEC, unless he is our HC. He is a great coach.

Urban Meyer surely has some life threatening illness that can be set aside to coach in Tuscaloosa.

Kiffin is smart. Once Bama gets rejected by Dabo and Kirby, they will panic and Kiffin will get a shot.

There is no upside or incentive for Dabo to leave Clemson or Kirby to leave Georgia.

As someone else mentioned, you don't want to directly follow Saban at Bama. There will be a decent but sacrificial "interim" coach.

As for coaches, Lane Kiffin can imagine himself at Bama but I'm not sure he'll still have the luster in a few years.

Dabo is seeing the same decline as Saban. NIL has hurt the recruiting advantage of "superstar schools."

Does Leopold have any SEC ties or experience? Kansas may try to recruit the South but I doubt they put too much time into it.

Bama can't give Kirby anything GA can't match at this point.

The others lack the star appeal needed. Alabama doesn't shop Coaches 'R' Us.

Leipold has no connection, ties, or experience anywhere near the South as far as I know. I can't see Alabama looking for someone who doesn't at least know the SEC and area.
