Good grief, they are completely spoiled over there. One day they WILL cycle down again and maybe this is the start of it. Maybe NIL is quickly starting to level the playing field. But when they do cycle down, I hope it’s the same miserable 15 seasons we have experienced. You learn to appreciate 10-2, 9-3 seasons, being better than most, with the occasional shot at a conference title and playoff.

And if TN gets slapped with major sanctions next season, so will Pruitt. Pruitt tried to recently blackmail TN and was a major headache for GA when he was a DC for Richt. Seriously, I wouldn't want a scumbag like that hanging around my favorite college program.

Is it Pete’s fault the secondary can’t cover without mugging WR’s? You’ll likely deny it and I wouldn’t expect anything less, but I don’t think Bama DB’s are any more handsey than they’ve ever been, it’s just finally being called now. Every opponent has yelled at the TV for years for PI calls to no avail and suddenly they’re everywhere. PI calls have had a direct impact on the outcome of the two games Bama has lost.

I'm less concerned with the PIs than I am with the complete coverage busts. I'm sick of seeing receivers blow right by while guys like Hellams and Branch do little more than wave.

If I'm not mistaken, Dabo's contract with Clemson has an "Alabama clause" in it. I think it basically makes it extremely expensive for Alabama to try to hire him.

Bama wouldn't have a prohibitive buyout of the current coach (see A&M), so Bama would have no trouble with that buyout if Dabo is the guy they want.

I think some reality is setting in with Bama, although it really takes another "L" to come to grips with it. Bryce Young is absolutely incredible, and I'd give him another Heisman. Having said that, Bama's tackling is horrific. Opponents are getting manageable 2nd downs and a lot of 3rd and shorts. It's not just in the games they have lost, but all along the way. Nagging penalties. Obviously we watch Henry T. and see how he's doing, and what I see is "Whiff, Whiff and more Whiff". Don't have a stat on how many tackles he made against LSU, (and I didn't watch the whole thing), but I don't remember seeing him make a tackle.

This defense is so "unSaban-like". As a Vol, it's about time. As someone trying be really be objective, you have to wonder if this is part of a decline. Bama faithful expect better and they aren't getting it. BUT.. Vol fans have expected better over the last decade and we didn't get it either, so I guess you can say, welcome to that club.

On offense, Alabama does not have the WRs they have had the past several years. If Alabama had not gotten Gibbs at RB in the portal even with Young, who is a very good QB, their offense would not be very good.

He'll be another Ray Perkins or Bill Curry and will win 9-10 games a season but it wont be enough for Alabama fans and he'll last 3-4 seasons.
