LSU vs. Miss. St.

Ok then, we have a consensus that it's LSU's fault where jersey colors become a grey area. With the Bengal Tigers out of the picture, home teams wear dark jerseys and away teams wear the whites, right?

There warming up the true frosh...bout time. Henig will be in counseling for the next 20 years for this outing.

I thought Miss. St. could win 4, maybe even 5 games this year. Looks like I may be wrong. They appear worse than last year.

Not at all impressed by LSU.

AND take note of this. 9 out of 12 of flynn's completions were to Doucet. Not always a good sign for an offense.

6 INTS, pretty awful, I hope they beat Tulane for the pride of the SEC at least.

Wow now the backup runs one in on them, ouch!

Since the game is over back to LSU and their obsession with the white jerseys:

Just to quote on the unis (from a poster at tigerforum, and this in-depth discussion of uniforms seems pretty flaky to me)

"Re: MSU forcing the purple unis?

LSU has a 50-year tradition of wearing white home and away and one of the the most recognizable helmets in college football. The purple is no big deal and no jinx, but it is just butt ugly and look slike a SWAC uniform. Way too Mardi Gras.

Nick started wearing the purple at home for a game or two to end this jinx business, but I wish it would go away. The reason it hasn't is because the players like the purple, so Les lets them wear it for a game or two. But if you've see what the average LSU football player wears around campus . . . we don't want them designing uniforms, stick to football.

Of course, . . . wearing the purple should be our option. If we have a game at night on national TV, we're wearing the white jerseys. If an opponent tries to force us to wear white to gain some kind of imaginary edge, it is not only no edge at all, but it pisses off the Tigers. Kentucky and Florida have both tried this in the past, but they haven't lately."
