I think I might be in the minority on this board, but I think we need to win Thursday against the 12/13 winner and then beat Bama on Friday. Anything less and it's leaving to much to chance to dance.

UK winning makes UT's rpi higher right? Same vice versa.

I think it's best if we win Thursday; I don't think a win Friday is necessary.

Agreed. Vols are in now, but one mid-major team winning their conf. tourney can take it away.

Losing Thursday isn't an option. Losing Friday and I would be sweating bullets on selection Sunday. Win Friday and I'm enjoying some nice beverages on selection Sunday knowing they are in (and hoping we aren't part of the first four). Win Saturday and I'm looking at some nice single digit seeding possibilities.

That's the way I see it.

At least one SEC bubble team obviously isn't going to make it, and maybe too. Lunardi has us pushing UVA out--and the Cavs beat duke a few days ago. Ouch.

Lunardi has Virginia waaaay too high. They have some nice wins, but no team with the amount of bad losses they have has ever made the tournament. Their RPI is also pretty horrible. They're out.

Lol of course they did.. And bama beat uga on a last second half court shot, and Baylor is about to beat Kansas to death.. Basketball is crazy...

ding ding ding. People was actling like I was stupid or a negavol. I knew our RPI was not going to be a "lock status" if we lost to Georgia. We still need stuff to happen to make it. A few jacked conference tournaments and we are screwed. A first round bye and then a game against a weak team that we cant afford to lose. I still say we need to make it to the secc game with a win over one of the big 4 to get a boost. And btw, i want tennessee to go dancing. Not being negative at all.

Thoroughly disagree. I can see thinking we need 2, but there's no way in hell we need to get all the way to the final. :twocents:
