Nah, we're in. Jimmy Dykes already has us in before Mizzouri, and a win kept us in. Unless we lose bad in game 1, we're in. Our resume is just that much better than most other bubbles teams. They were saying our resume was better than Witchita State and theyre an 9 seed right now. And we beat them, so i dont see how we could get shafted here.
Tennessee is in a very precarious situation. Sure, all Tennessee has do to is keep winning, but to think they'll get to Sunday is a pipe dream. If Tennessee loses the first game in the SECT, 19-12 and the decrease in RPI to go along with it..Tennessee is out. If Tennessee wins one and loses one, still 20-12, RPI doesn't change much from where it is now and it's still verrry close.
That's just Tennessee....one or two conference tourney champ upsets in the smaller conferences can hurt Tennessee badly by taking one of those last spots.
I think Tennessee's poor performances early in the season create a "have to win" situation at the end...and they did well beating some good teams. The last Georgia loss is what is keeping us on the bubble.
We will all be crossing fingers on Sunday after the tourney.
They ought to let Lunardi pick the 64 and skip the committee BS. He does a lot more research than the blockheads on the committee. I'm sure the committee members pay pretty close attention to his 64.
We do need to win our first tourney game and get to 20 wins.
I say we win the SEC tourney and get in and leave no doubt and Definitely don't leave it up to the opinion of the NCAA selection committee....
Exactly. Am I the only thinking we have a good shot to win the tourney? I mean we beat the top two teams in the sec in the last two weeks, just beat a really solid mizzou team and have tons of momentum. Yes we lost to Georgia but I would lay money if we saw them a third time we would handle them. This team is clicking really well right now and anything is possible
The fact that we lost to Georgia twice tells me Tennessee isn't consistent enough to win the SEC tourney.
