I give this album a pass. Atlantic threatened to not even release the album if he didn't comply with them, he had no choice. There are definitely some good tracks on the album: "Words I Never Said", "Beautiful Lasers", "All Black Everything"....and then you got your not-so-good tracks, that I personally believe Atlantic forced him into to make so-called "radio hits".

What I'm looking forward to is Food & Liquor 2, he'll be out of Atlantic's deathgrip and he'll be back to his original roots. Either way, Lasers is great in my opinion. FNF UP.

I went back to it, and Lasers has been growing on me a bit, but I still think it's so-so. Again, as everybody said, I completely blame Atlantic for it. I'm sure F&L2 will be awesome.

Lasers is garbage. One good songs are Words I Never Said, I'm Beaming and Shinning Down and the last two werent even officially part of the album. I love Lupe and I know this wasn't the album he wanted to release but I never expected anything this bad from him

It's pretty bad. All of the good songs are singles. I figured it would be completely the other way around since Atlantic was making him put songs on there.

"Beautiful Lasers" may be my favorite song by him ever. "Words I Never Said" is a great song. Even though he hates the song, "The Show Goes On" has a good message and has a one line that makes me smile everytime I hear it.

I hope your son don't have a gun and never be a D-boy.

Lasers isn't Lupe's best work, I'll say that much.

The Cool was a much, much better album from him, IMO.

My girlfriend got the album for free from a radio station in Roanoke and gave it to me, so I'm giving it another listen. Still not impressed.

I feel like it's a pop album. Lupe's ability does not come out at all.

It's leaked, and i've listened and lupe is back in his prime. This album is just as good as the cool

To me, his last album seemed too political or something, I got irritated listening to it. Is this one the same way? May have been a dumb question

Lasers wasn't a very good album though, I can agree on that, but I don't really fault him for it. From what I've heard of the new one, whatever was wrong last time got fixed.

It was awesome because he was saying stuff nobody else says. What other artist is pointing fingers at both Islam and Israel? I think he has some refreshing opinions.

For me it just depends on whether or not it's intelligent and articulated well. I don't have to agree with it to like it, but that helps.

His new album is really good, doesnt seem to be too preachy, but still haven't been able to decipher the lyrics on this yet.

Edit: added my debit card for the extra cents I needed. Strange Fruition is awesome. Won't listen to much more until tomorrow.
