Lupe Fiasco

I'll take Abella Anderson all day in that department.

As for the album, somewhat unimpressed on first listen. It may grow on me though.

Nobody mention Wiz I think he is pretty good...I like Lupe don't know if he is the best its a matter of opinion... Also B.O.B. and J Cole are very good go listen to to gladiators.

The three that you mentioned couldn't carry Lupe's notepad and pen.

I saw him at the 930 club with B.o.B last year. "Hip Hop Saved My Life" sounded amazing, but B.o.B had the better overall set imho. Lupe is a very impressive lyricist. But let's be serious, fellas, he isn't in the conversation for best rappers ever or even best rappers alive.

And let the evidence show, the future’s so bright
It’s never been more, not like tonight
We walk into the glow, right into the light
The past all around us, the time of our life
The first love kisses, the broke heart disses
This is just like a first-class ticket
Back, to the first written rap
The crumbled-up paper and the pen with no cap
The hand-me-down clothes and the unturned hat
The hookers on the corner and the kids sellin’ crack
The needles in the yard where we used to play catch
Stories from the project we could never go at
Or to, these are shades of my youth
Trials of a child, everything truth
Moments of the past, comin’ back to find us
Not to relive them, just to remind us

Lupe kills in the lyric dept.

He isn't terrible...he just isn't an elite emcee, he can be very clever at times...I would say overall his skill is average on the mic.

Production is out of sight, just got his new album and I think it is amazing and that is on first listen.

Kanye is a mad genius.

Kanye is an amazing producer. Probably the best in the biz right now. His most recent album is an absolute masterpiece.

But let's call a spade a spade: he isn't even a mediocre rapper.

As a lyricist? Pac over Biggie? Seriously?

You just lost all credibility with me. Biggie is the greatest rapper of all time, and I don't even think it is a particularly close call.

Coming from a guy who thinks B.o.B. is the second coming those are bold words.

At least Pac had conviction in his music, I believed what he was saying about his life, Biggie passed himself off as a drug kingpin which is laughable, guys from his hood even laughed at that notion.

Biggie is top ten all-time, nothing more.

He gets the same love that Kurt Cobain gets, an early and untimely death has made him that guy that everybody praises.

Biggie=Kobain
Pac=Hendrix

People still try to be Pac, only Jay-Z rips Biggie.

You'll have to elaborate. I'm not following you here.

Kanye made it cool to be the quirky, different emcee. Evrybody was wearing a jersey with a team before he came, I bleieve he was the main influence in ushering in a different bred of rapper.

Child please.

Eminem is so completely overrated, if he weren't white he would be considered average.

I have heard his last album at least 10 times, it is almost unlistenable.

If it's almost unlistenable, then why'd you listen to it 10 times?

And to say Eminem is average is just silly.
