LV 2019 Recruiting Thread

Looks like Lexie Hull is going to be a good get for Stanford. Sister Lacy is fair. JMO

What do you think about Coradosa 6’7” according to the announcers!???!! If Uconn gets in on either or both ..,, Ugh ,,, I don’t know. I was hoping to get both in 2020.. Realize they are both Sophomores

Right now i think she very raw and still learning,

The past two years have shown growth? They have been the most underachieving years in program history. This team has been loaded with talent the past two years and couldn't even make it past the first weekend of the NCAAT. The LVs only missed making the regional semis once in the NCAAT's first 35 years. Now they've missed two years in a row. I don't care who the coach is -- that's unacceptable.

Fans have been more than patient. The LVs haven't been to the F4 in ten years-- and Holly has been HC six of those years. She's been coaching since the Reagan years. How long should we continue to await a coaching epiphany or anticipate her radical transformation into a disciplinarian that pushes and develops players?

I don't want Holly to be Pat. I want her to be a great head coach. I want her to get the best out of her players and make the LVs elite again. If she can't be that and do that, then I want Fulmer to do what it takes to return the program to greatness. LV fans have been both supportive and patient. But it's time for positive change, either internally or from outside the program. Expecting a better outcome without some sort of change is going to bring more disappointment. We've had enough.

DAMN SKIPPY.
This is the 'sum it up for all times' post. It's my anthem. I'm hanging these words on my wall. This is how I feel.

Right now i think she very raw and still learning,

At least she keeps the ball high above her head.... Mercedes hasn’t learned this basic basketball skill.
She has developed a good touch on her shot around the goal. Last year as a freshman she did good to score and sometimes shooting too hard or shooting into the rim. She has improved greatly from last year to this....... And she has two more years. !!! Remember these girls are Sophomores!!! Plus she can now make foul shots...Just Saying 🤔

That is why i said getting a Top post player in 2019 is key so if she don`t pick Tenn we are covered at the position.

I had to laugh at her standing over in the corner ( open and no one guarding her ) she was yelling throw the ball to me I am open !!!! Just silly of her because it is an all star game.... everyone wanting to show off and not playing team ball. But a learning experience for her. 😁

But the West team sure passed it to Christyn Williams. Must've been predetermined that she would get the mvp.

The delusion of you people is hilarious, nobody envies TN. You're a midterm program that can't make a final 4 in a decade, while top programs are there on a regular basis. Kids still go to TN based on 20 years ago and have the same delusions of past grandeur you have. Players soon realize they have a mediocre coach and have little chance to win the league or make a final 4. Realizing this they become all about themselves and thus just freelance. They try to rack up numbers to promote themselves over the team or they just transfer.

If you are not a Lady Vol fan, why are you even commenting on this site? Who cares what you think about OUR program. That is really low class and ignorant to start a fight on the site of a team you are not a fan of. You must really have a piss poor life if you have to troll. Remember, your team will have it’s period of doom and gloom, it is just the way life is.

Watched the game Balogun stepped up later in the game and so did Treasure Hunt. The big center has talent but will need to be developed more. She does keep the ball high. The thing about jasmine she commands her team and she took control of that game when her teammates didn’t play ip to par! She can hit the mid range jumper and if she develops outside she can be good! Her defensive intensity and length was a challenge because she actually used it!

I agree with her game being mid range. Someone on the form thinks she has a good three point shot? I don’t see that but now Balogun can shoot the three! She has a tendency to hold back and try to let other teammates get involved. She did take on more responsibility today than I can ever remember. If she had done this from the start of the game..,,, they might have won ??? The twins going to Stanford we’re pretty good and they had a better supporting group including the bench players. They had the better team. The announcers were talking about how coach Hunt wanted her to play more selfishly and take over the game. She did a pretty good job and hope she continues at UT.

The thing I keep forgetting is Kamilla and Treasure are JUST SOPHOMORES! Kamilla improved more than anybody on the team from last year to this one. I think she will be a game changer by the time she graduates! The announcers mentioned Treasure having about ten scholarships offers including Tennessee. 👍

She actually had 32. I've watched her HH team play several times now and this was the first time she looked really impressive. She was the only reason her team stayed in this one. I still think fans expecting her to take over point guard from Westbrook are going to be disappointed. Massengill still tends to play out of control, and can't shoot a lick outside the paint. Most of her points came off turnovers and using her size to overpower opposing guards.

Hunt looked solid, not spectacular. I was hoping Cardosa would have improved more since her freshman year but she's still incredibly raw. She is a poor finisher at the rim for her size, a bad free throw shooter, and spent most of the tournament on the bench as she still has no idea how to play defense without fouling. Still, only a sophomore and you can see the potential. Massengill had a couple of pretty lobs to her *wink wink*. It will be interesting to see Hunt and Cardosa next year as the leaders of the team with Massengill and Balogun moving on....

Miss State will need a pg plus they have a better coach, So i think this will be a hard sell for Holly and her staff.

I overheard conversation with one of the coaches . “ We can replace Jasmine next year... but I don’t know how we replace Balogun ?” Just saying

I don’t think she replaces anyone next year! However, I think she can give breaks to the 1, 2, or 3 positions. Hopefully without too many mistakes?

They'll recruit to replace Balogan just like they did before, paying money to parents/guardians to have their services.

That school is a disgrace to the name of "high school" athletics.

At the risk of sounding like sour grapes, I'm not that sorry Balogun isn't coming to Tennessee....

It’s a private school. It can recruit for a kids services lol 😂😂😂 they aren’t bound to the same rule a public school is.

That coach must not have been on the same wavelength as heach coach Keisha Hunt. She was caught getting in Massengills face against Winter Haven and told Jaz this is your team we will not win without you. They won that fans then she came out and scored 30 in a much more aggressive game the following day.

I wish Holly could motivate her players in like manner!
