The covid year players are still there, meaning, most of the team.

They did lose Taylor Mikesell, who led last year's team in scoring and made over three 3's per game at over 41%. She was their only player last year who attempted at least one 3 per game who hit at least 33% of them. That said, they have several players this year who are shooting the 3 at a much higher clip than last year so, so far it hasn't seemed to affect them too much, but pre-season it looked like a big potential weakness.

This one’s tricky. Wells will have a time bringing the ball up on the press. So we’ll have to use Strip as an outlet in the middle. I can see us just throwing up wild shots left and right and getting sped up and missing easy layups.

Try again. The reply you quoted from me was in response to Darth. Watch out for those banana peels when you warn others about slipping.
So you didn’t go on a tangent starting with - “Yep, that makes a WHOLE lot of sense.” And then follow it up with an assumption trying to play doctor? Didn’t figure you for direct quote relationship but more of conversant throughout.

Your possibility is as good as anything presented. Don’t let the “pontifical ones” have all the fun.
Wait, you think the possibility that Rickea's injury is faked in order to cover up for something else is as good as the official story? OK then.

If that's the case, ole KJH is knocking herself out pushing the fake narrative, with Cora, a smarter than average beat reporter, going along as mouthpiece:

Coaches are in such a spot. There's not much they can say due to privacy, but if they don't say something alternative narratives start springing up to fill the void. Especially if the player has a history, like Angel and Rickea.

I just want her back and healthy. And soon.

She will be in shape to start the SEC league play and will probably be hungrier to re-establish herself as one of the best in College basketball this season. I wouldn't be mad about that.
Certainly a possibility. After Sunday they have MTSU in Huntsville which will be a challenge, then they cupcake it out til Jan start of SEC. Might make sense if it's a stress type injury to shut it down til then. OTOH, those cupcakes might be a good time to work her back in slowly. If not, by SEC play she will have been off the court for almost 2 months.
I hope you're right, because Rae was never the same player that season...
Can't get that thought out of my head, the backside of the nightmare. Rae never really fully integrated back into the offense. It was a long, strange struggle.

Probably wishful thinking, but I really think RJ will have an easier time. She's a different player with a different role on the team than Rae. Please Let It Be.

The whole privacy thing is so overdone in college. It's ridiculous. I'm not sure how the idea took hold that if we report that a player has a high-ankle sprain or a hyper-extended elbow it is some ghastly violation of the players right to privacy.

Where did I say her injury was faked?

I know! Seems like the clamps came down a couple of years ago and it's like asking for the nuclear codes to get simple, general info.

Folks get mad and call us nosy and overstepping and of course the athlete has every right to privacy. But I'm not asking to see imaging reports or consult with the orthopedic doc. I mostly just want to know what the most important piece of the team I devote time to is dealing with and when she might be back. I just want to be able to organize my worries.

I agree with you 100% look at SC Dawn while talking to the media, Someone ask her the status of Tessa Johnson she mistakenly said she sprain her ankle. Johnson missed 3 games.

I'm still a big Kellie Harper fan. I believe this team will come together and show us what they are made of. We have more speed this year and can break the press better this year. Ohio State will have to come out of the press and try something else. I believe a couple of the girls will have a big game. We will win this game 82 to 72. As always go Lady Vol's.
