Notre Dame had three of their girls out and they still won in Knoxville. The only thing going on behind the scenes is CH not being able to coach or even prepare a team
Why do people keep saying this? Guess who else had 3 players out? The Lady Vols did except they only mention Jackson when talking about Tennessee. It gets old. I think we were missing a lot more than ND was.

I know, but I'm not telling you guys -it's not my place to reveal that...I can tell you it is really an injury, nothing else.

She badly wants to play and will, as soon as she's cleared medically.

I just brought up a different possibility guys, calm down. If anyone on here knows the real current status of Jackson say so, otherwise all posts are just assumptions.

The thing about the game was the turnovers and rebounding. We don't commit ten more turnovers and get seven less offensive rebounds we win the game. Up to Harper to get this fixed for good. This is her team she recruited and they are still turning it over just like Holly's players when she coached them in year one through four. If this team can't handle the ball and rebound going to be a tough season. It is hard to beat anybody any good when you can't measure up in those two stats cause gaining or at least maintaining equal possessions has to be in your favor. You can't giveaway possessions or hand a team extra shots on possessions. She says we have worked on this hard all year and yet were repeating it game after game.

Ohio State will bring pressure like we have not seen all year. The key to the game is 10 turnovers or less. When we turn it over 18 times we lose again. Played a great first half against Notre Dame only four turnovers then we come out and commit double digit turnovers in the second half. Forty minute game somehow coaches have to get these players to understand that length of intensity.

IMO it keeps repeating bc of the type players we get. The mid pack recruits we manage to land - the 30-60 ranked, are more likely to have the struggles you describe, espec against more talented players.

It all comes down to the players and what their ceilings are. Coaches can only do so much.

Your right we know that is who we are, but Coach keeps repeating she can turn us into someone else and I believed it for a long while. Now I just watch the games with no expectations and are pleasantly surprised when we do something right in a big game.

There are injuries, but Notre Dame still started 3 HS All-Americans. Everyone keeps saying we had better-ranked players on the floor, but look at the rosters, and that was not the case, especially without Rickea. We did have more experienced players, but Higalo is a player and only a freshman. Add that to the mix of 3-4 HS All Americans and that is tough to guard............J.S.

A big reason why we struggle with more athletic teams. Ceilings

Apathy setting in. Crowd tomorrow will be a big indicator or pulse on others.

Don't bet on it. The LV a;re in one of their worst seasons ever. CH cannot recruit and out of the HoopsGurlz top 100 for the last 3 seasons or so has only been able to recruit one player. That player was at UT for 2 seasons, played only 3 or 4 minutes per game with no results and left the team to go else where. CH needs to put her husband in an administrative position and replace him with T. Catchings. CH has never been able to control turnovers and has had more than one season where the number of turnovers were beyond 25 or more. That can be corrected immediately by using the Coach Barnes method. In practice a player with a turnover has to run from the floor to the top of the arean and back. That keeps turnovers around 9 per game. In my opinion, LV will be either number 4 or worse in SEC until someone like C. Parker or the coach at Duke replaces her.
The gal at Duke isn't doing a whole lot better.
We need to get off former players coaching
and go outside the program for a coach.

Crowd keeps getting smaller and smaller. I don’t think I’ve seen some many empty seats in TBA even in Holly’s last few years.
the record isn't the only reason

2 years ago I could get a gen admission ticket for any game for 5-10 and 10 for parking (20 total)
Last year it went to 10-15 and 15 for parking (30 total)
this year for the ND game no gen admission, cheapest ticket was 25.00 and parking is now 20.00 (45 total)

Money's tight for most, groceries outrageous, everything, except wages are going up

It’s a different time for everyone. On the flip side the boys against Wofford had double the attendance then what the LV had for ND. Tomorrow will be telling as it’s not 5pm on Wednesday.

‘17-‘18 avg attendence 8,778
‘18-‘19 avg attendence 8,083

‘19-‘20 avg attendence 8,645
‘20-‘21 avg attendence 2,417 (Covid)
‘21-‘22 avg attendence 7,477
‘22-‘23 avg attendence 8,150
‘23-‘24 avg attendence 7,852 (data set incomplete)

Hmmm. 🧐 appears to have bottomed out or slightly trending upward. We’ll see. Holly killed it. Over 10,000 as recently as 2015-16.
