Ladies and gentlemen Jordan Horston had a amazing game I’m so proud of her
Not trying to argue but you don't think Holdsclaw wasn't the most gifted in 97 led a team that no one predicted to a second National title in a row,and the following year led the comeback against UNC in 98 for the 3rd straight National Championship and an undefeated season.if she wasn't most gifted she was most talented even though she was a head caseUnfortunately, in her time at UT she never matured enough to fully understand, appreciate, or capitalize on her gifts. If Glory had had Candace Parker's work ethic she could have been unstoppable.

Yes I’m glad this game she let her figure it out but most importantly instilled confidence in her. And jewel is a great mentor for her. Once that shoulder strap come off her arc and touch on her shot will be better. When she’s not overthinking she is a sight too see I can’t until she plays her natural position. What impressed me the most about her game is that she didn't stop shooting. She was getting open and taking good shots, but several of them just kept coming ohhhh-so-close but not going through the net. But tonight, Jordy kept at it and hit some pretty key shots. I love that she is obviously progressing, mentally, as a pro because that was always going to be her bugaboo if she didn't face that monster down. She's already made strides -- tonight was proof. Now she just has to build on this momentum. She is making a case for becoming a starter IMO. Quinn may want to see her show that confidence against a few more opponents before giving her the nod, but like I said earlier, it's coming!

Chamique wasn't a head case while she was here. Had her moments w Pat, espec early on, but I never remember "head case" issues hurting her game. She had some problems much later but looks and sounds great as of last yr at the South Carolina game.Holdsclaw was definitely more talented, and they are not even comparable.
But Glory had physical gifts -- height, speed and quickness, leaping ability, Herculean strength -- that were even greater, though raw, than what Holdsclaw had.
Holdsclaw was a more natural, and astronomically better, basketball player, but Glory was a physical specimen. She just never understood what she had.
Talking about with Pat and her decisions on court not even talking about off court issues that is none of my business. Can't even make a comment I swear agree to disagreeChamique wasn't a head case while she was here. Had her moments w Pat, espec early on, but I never remember "head case" issues hurting her game. I agree Glory was way more physically gifted. Chamique was kind of gangly and skinny and very lopey w the running style of a Jordan Horston. She could jump and she could hang but her superpower was being a savant of a scorer. She found a way to score no matter the coverage, the quentisential nose for the basket. Glory, OTOH was in that long run of players we drafted who are more athlete than skilled player.
?? Of course you can comment its a comment board. Someone say you couldn't? And I can answer. It's a long time ago, I could certainly be wrong , but I don't remember any oncourt "head" stuff with CH. The stories w Pat were typical freshman stuff where she told Mickey that Pat was crazy and she was going home. Her Grandmother told her different. All laughed about it later in her career. So of course, we can agree to disagree.Talking about with Pat and her decisions on court not even talking about off court issues that is none of my business. Only in New York they postpone a game to AIR QUALITY smdh
It may sound silly, but it's actually a really bad situation up there right now. The air quality, due to wildfires to the north, ranks right now as the "worst in the world." Citizens are being urged to stay indoors, and if they must go out, to wear protective masks. The emergency situation is expected to last days. Yikes!
Who gives a $#!+! —- In a 100,000 seat stadium with tix $70 = 7 MILLION dollars for ONE game! - Not to mention concessions & souvenirs! We could buy a new goal-post Every month/ week!
Just keep winning!!!!!!
Against Parker and Wilson I assume. Very impressive. Looking at Parker stats so far this season wonder if this will be her last season. Mostly if not all games have been single digits for her. Pulling for her to make the top 5 in the all time scoring in the W, joining Catchings.Las Vegas got smacked by Connecticut tonight. Dewanna Bonner put up 41 on the Aces. Wow!
Candace is definitely being misused in Vegas, Becky just isn't playing her to her strengths.I don't have a problem with the super teams, and adding Candace has, so far, not been that much of a boon to the Aces lineup, anyway. She's not playing terribly, but just somewhat below average for her. I'm a little worried that our beloved Candace Parker may be suffering -- maybe for the first time ever -- a little bit of a confidence slump. She's still learning to play with the others, and under a new staff, but she just seems a little off. Hope she's able to get on track soon and has a fun season.
