Mac McClung

He would have sit out for those wondering. Mac can play defense and fit the up pace style we are about to play . Absolute take .

If he has to sit, then it's certainly better. No way though if they expect him to play right away. Too many guards. I get that he is good, but we have two 5 stars who need to play.

If he has to sit out then the following year we wouldn’t have much of a drop off.

So yes I say take him and pair him with Chandler to go with Banchero.

The relationship with UT athletics and the McClung family would have to be patched up. Not sure what happened but his sister had a bad experience at UT. His dad is very anti UT now because of this.

Honestly don't follow women's soccer. Any idea what the situation was?

Given what went down at Georgetown I don't think he will be denied a waiver. That being said I'm pretty sure depth at combo guard is not something we need or are looking for. We need post players. We are set at guard and wing throwing in another combo guard would not really help much. he seems more comfortable playing the point but he is still more a Baron Davis type (playstyle) or Allen Iverson Lite (pun intended on many levels) than the type Barnes wants to run his team.

May help we are under entirely different management these days and I wouldn't blame them for the crap show of an athletic department under Hart.

Barnes has to go get this kid. So many benefits to adding a player with his talent and national profile.

I’m not entirely sure this is the right fit for him. First, if Pons comes back there is literally no room for him. Someone would have to git and who do you run off? Not to mention it’s a bad look to run anyone off.

Second, Mac would get burried in our depth chart and probably will not get the minutes he was hoping for. I’ve read an article that him and James Akinjo were less than pleased about how their minutes were handled at the same position. Can’t imagine we’re a better spot.

I’ll be shocked if he transfers, but I guess we’ll see.

I could see Pember taking a walkon year for a badass grad transfer in the post, but I'd be surprised to see him do the same for another on the perimeter.

I get the love for this kid but are we forgetting that we need another quality big? Then there's the culture that CRB has started here at Tenn. Will he be a good fit?
