Hey man, can you please fill me in on what Powers staying could mean as far as Mack being out and Saban being the target? Thanks
Powers plays a middleman role between the two sides obviously. He's not a pawn, but he won't have the golden gavel in the end either. Him remaining is not as earth shattering as one might think.
Mack is out like a fat kid in dodge ball. "I heart Jimmy" T shirts are being made as we speak.
If Saban wants the Teaxs job, it's all his. I recall when he left Miami, his wife didn't like it there so he lied and then left. If his wife wants to be in Texas, then that's where they will be.
I keep thinking back to two years ago when Sabans wife made the comment about the losses were so much worse in Alabama than the winning was good.
But Terry also said that Saban's coaching success three national championships since 2009, with another on the horizon has its downside. "You come to a crossroads and the expectations get so great, people get spoiled by success and there gets to be a lack of appreciation," she told the WSJ. "We're kind of there now."
Consider this anecdote from the WSJ: when reports surfaced that Nick was considering LSU, Michigan State administrators went to meet with him. Terry was noticeably absent. And then: "The next morning, Saban left for LSU"
