Mack Brown out at Texas

Hey man, can you please fill me in on what Powers staying could mean as far as Mack being out and Saban being the target? Thanks

Powers plays a middleman role between the two sides obviously. He's not a pawn, but he won't have the golden gavel in the end either. Him remaining is not as earth shattering as one might think.

I'll take my chances when it comes to in state news regarding in state college football coaches.

Not doubting you! I saw rumors that the meeting happened why they were in NYC. There's no way they can bring back Mack now. Idk what they're waiting for?

So in your opinion, what is going to happen with Brown and with Saban? I think Mack is 100% out. The fan base would explode if they kept him ATP.

$ ironically. Should this go through, which I think it will, it will be unprecedented in college athletics.

Like I've stated earlier, I think he gets a position in the PR dept for athletics.

Saban coaches football games and wins the big12 for 3 years or so.

You think dumping a coach that won a NCG and coaches for 15+ years doesn't merit a spotlight to those egomaniacs? They'll want their coverage.

Easy turbo.

Do we even know sure Mack's gone for there to even be a spotlight?

Damn aggies.

On college football live they said there would be no meeting today between Mack, AD, or anyone else.

So you do think that Saban will take the Texas job.

If Saban wants the Teaxs job, it's all his. I recall when he left Miami, his wife didn't like it there so he lied and then left. If his wife wants to be in Texas, then that's where they will be.

I keep thinking back to two years ago when Sabans wife made the comment about the losses were so much worse in Alabama than the winning was good.

Then you're gonna love this

Terry Saban: Alabama fans 'spoiled by success' | Sports | Columbus Ledger Enquirer

But Terry also said that Saban's coaching success — three national championships since 2009, with another on the horizon — has its downside. "You come to a crossroads and the expectations get so great, people get spoiled by success and there gets to be a lack of appreciation," she told the WSJ. "We're kind of there now."

Consider this anecdote from the WSJ: when reports surfaced that Nick was considering LSU, Michigan State administrators went to meet with him. Terry was noticeably absent. And then: "The next morning, Saban left for LSU"

Saban is gone.

Plus I don't remember Texas fans killing each other or trees after a loss.lol

Everyone I just got messages from just said they all collectively have hit to mute button for the night. As speculated, the awards show tonight interfere. I was led to believe it would hit tonight regardless, but apparently the split between the two factions with Powers are equally as split regarding Brown. Powers retained his position by a 60%/40% margin.

This is what I know as of 5:30pm local time
