Anyone else starting to think Powers may have agreed to not back Brown, in order to keep his job? Board of Regents seemed to think that have enough vote to get Powers out. Not he stays.
If Powers agreed to not back Brown, Brown will go into his meeting today a dead man walking.
side note: Seems most "sources" in Texas seem to think Mack wont announce until Monday.

If the Board of Regents is basing their decision to retain or terminate the school's president on whether or not he supports the football coach, then that schools has serious, serious problems.
Whether this happens or not, I am gaining great pleasure watching Alabama friends on Facebook discrediting all of these rumors and being scared. They just can't believe that someone would want to leave the University of Alabama, the best program in the history of the world.
What is your point? They had a meeting to try and fire the guy, and not he comes out squeaky clean. And now he is walking into a meeting with Brown. You put it together.
You really are not as educated on the matters you spout off about as you think you are. The all knowing, holier than thou attitude has got to go.
Pull the stick out, Susan. I wasn't crapping on your suggestion. I don't put it past that group to base their decisions around sports. I'm simply pointing out that doing so is freaking absurd. Powers' position shouldn't rest on his relationship with the head football coach, but that does not mean that it doesn't.
Texas is trying to get rid of a coach, not ruin its recruiting class. You can be coachless with only a few days left before a black out. That gives other coaches a chance to plant seeds. You get rid of him at the black out, and have a coach before it picks back up.

The timing of the blackout doesn't hurt, but every coach that is recruiting against Texas has been planting seeds since they lost to Okie Lite. It's only gotten worse over the past week.
Yes, but right now, They still have a HC to try and calm the nerves. With no head coach. Those seeds start to grow. You get what I'm saying atleast, though?
That comment was directed at more than just that one post. The world isnt as black and white as you seem to think it is. As a writer, I would hope you are aware of this. You can have your opinions, but that doesnt mean they are right.

You're on a message board. This is nothing if not a sounding board for opinions. I happen to think my opinions are correct; that's why I have them. If I don't agree with your opinions, I'm going to say so. It's not personal, so chill a bit and enjoy the back-and-forth.
