That they can happen?
Best part of the Mack Brown story? That Chip Brown's leaked story about his resignation is the reason he is staying.
I think chip brown was right but when word got out...Mack Brown wasn't happy cause he wanted it to be a surprise on the awards night and Mack still has enough pull to make it happen....but notice Saban doesn't have a buyout in his contract....and Oregon will beat Texas by 30 plus
Name some where rumors were swirling like this that actually panned out. The only one that I can think of was Meyer to tOSU but he was unemployed at the time (as a coach anyway). The rumors only lasted about 2 days before it was made official.
When stuff like this fiasco goes on for days it's generally a bunch of hooey.
When you think about it, the whole thing is just absurd. First, a future HOF coach has to be fired. Then the greatest CFB coach of this generation has to leave his high profile job and program that he has built to run on near autopilot at this point. It was just very unlikely from the start.
I'll post some funny meltdown posts from shaggybevo as I find them.
"I don't $#@!ing believe Brown was EVER going to resign. Never. He wants DKR's record too badly. I think that was a bull$#@! story put out by the Brown Regime to cover.
damn it, I am so pissed off right now I can't $#@!ing see straight."
