It's funny, despite our meltdown a year ago over not getting Gruden at least we got a new coach. They just got handed the same guy they want to get rid of.

I remember not really having a full on meltdown. Most folks kind of paused and said "well, he isn't the WORST hire we could have made..." and paused for objectivity.

Sure there were selected few that got butthurt like no tomorrow, but nothing like what's going on over there.

Texas, Aggy and my Boise State Broncos all had the same 8-4 record this year.

Texas fans demanded Mack Brown's firing.
Boise fans called for the offensive coordinator to be given the Lane Kiffin treatment.
Aggie fans not only consider this record acceptable, but actually brag about it and thump their chests like they've won anything.

That's the difference between winning programs and bitter little sisters like Aggy.

Agreed. There was a mini meltdown and some denial when the Gruden ship sailed. There was some pretty whinny things said about CBJ's hire but mostly people were just happy to be going in a different direction than Dooley.

As of now Texas fans are stick with Mack which is doubling down on the anxiety of not getting Saban.

things were set in motion a year ago. Answers will be revealed, slowly. Those who questioned why an allegedly competent AD such as Hart would replace DD with the man against whom DD notched his sole signature win will be shown to have asked the right question...only too soon. Soon.
