Maybe, just maybe, MC's a political idiot savant. Sure he comes across as a lying sack of manure moron. But his district is essentially Weirdsville surrounded by Green Acres. Guns at the airport = Green Acres votes. Gay stuff and girlie underwear = Weirdville votes.
He may one day be known as a great political mastermind. Or not (edit).

When you have at least 8 women come forward with accusations, the Dims had no choice. Plus the fact the Senate was gonna gain Doug Jones so the party didn’t lose anything. It was a wash.
