Not all acl injuries are the same. Not all people heal at the same speed. When he is ready he will play.

agree mental plays an important role, but with him being one of the leaders of the team, I would think he would be chomping at the bit to de-cleat some gators.

He is probably focused more on the long term effects of playing when he is not 100% healthy.

A friend on maint staff told me that its fully healed.
The issue is with swelling after he goes full speed.
I know a janitor is not a doctor, but that makes sense.

Those connective tissues are out of condition, and that is a normal response to increased tissue stress. It is nothing to worry about, but cannot play him with swelling going on, or it could cause muscle or ligament damage.

We have one of the top 10 sports medical teams in the country.
