Maggitt To Redshirt?

Call me what you will (sunshine pumper, etc..) but I am holding out hope and expecting Maggitt to be ready to suit up in two weeks. I see no reason to believe that he isn't ready, and I think him being limited at the moment is more of a precautionary thing. We need his presence at linebacker. We are already too thin across the board. Got my fingers crossed!!:crossfingers:

I'm not so sure that this isn't just wishful thinking on Matthews' part. Every time I hear his Vols commentary on 104.5 in Nashville, he comes across as a butthurt old man.

I thought Maggitt had lost the injured reserve green practice jersey yesterday and was starting to participate in non-contact drills? I'm not buying this.

no one wore a green jersey during the live scrimmage, Maggitt went through the one on one stuff but did not participate in the 11 on 11..today he had the green jersey back on

I am starting to believe we r cursed on defence starting to pick up quite a few injures I hope this don't happen a lot in the season that's all we need

Cursed?... Cursed?

We live in TENNESSEE. We get to attend the most humbling, impressive, and more Colosseum then in fact the Colosseum stadium as our temple, NEYLAND! Our name is based on the best people who serve this greatest of nations in war, we choose the greatest men and women warriors in this world as inspiration not a stupid animal. We are the VOLUNTEERS! Our colors are those of fire and light and yes smoke itself. We have even been provided a river created hundreds of thousands of years ago by our biggest fan just so we'd have a convenient place to tailgate on boats near the stadium. Our program wasn't just raised by a great coach, but a General of the battlefield, and veteran of two world wars......Cursed? no no no all this bs we been going through is just God trying to be fair and even the playing field a little for those other poor wretched little schools filled with SEC heathen and soon again to be victims. We get to be Vols.....it's all the poor B***ards at other programs that are cursed.

When healthy he will play on Sunday and make more in a year than you will in your whole life so go back to your troll hole an stfu.

In terms of on the field production Maggitt has done absolutely nothing to this point. Lets hope he can stay healthy and become a playmaker, because he sure looks like one.

He's an average SEC player. He'll be replaced by someone only slightly worse.

Go back to watching vandie football. Curt is probably the best NFL talent on our defense. Awesome athlete and hell of a football player. He was a huge loss last season. And this is not good news, if true.

not true. He was 3rd on the team in tackles behind austin johnson and aj. He was 4th on the team in tackles for loss behind malik, j smith, and couch. Dl's should have a bit of an advantage there.

He avg'd 2 tackles per game more against the sec than the ooc. He had more tackles than his season avg against uf, bama, lsu, ark, vandy, and uk.

i swear fall camp cannot end fast enough!!

qft

How the eff did this get no likes?

Smokey em if you got em and we got em.

Maggit is a stud. Like a lot of guys he's played hurt. FTR he's played hurt better than many rivals healthy starters. If that's not beast idk what is.

Agree- the guy played with turf toe all last year before the knee injury. He is tough and a smart player. Ease him back in if we need to.

Curt is a stud backer on our defense, and a great leader for us on defense. He will get through this crap and lead us to a bowl game this year. NUFF SAID!! GBO!!
