Nothing. Most of the replies in this thread come from a bunch who are simply trolling. I don't see the point

PJ, you at least once were a smart man. Surely you see the logical connect the dots here. You referred to his post as an insult. It was just a bluntly put general statement. Nevertheless, I asked a follow up question, and you responded as shown above. Obviously you not only connected bama as making an insult, but being a troll. If you don't see that's what you did, I apologize. But now you definitely should.

It's rare I will send anything back but if my steak comes out well done I'm getting a new one. If that makes someone angry enough that someone feels the need to mess with my food then it's probably my fault for going to such a restaurant and expecting something better. I'd also hope another employee would call them out but evidently that's ridiculous and customers should just be happy they're getting food at all

There is enough range between rare and well that anyone with a brain should be able to make a distinction between the two. If you order rare or even mid-rare and get well steak, you usually get no problems.

But from what I've seen both as a cook and as a customer on the other side, the grey area lies in the middle. I have seen more drama and *****ing about medium steaks. I've seen people take steaks back because they were supposedly overcooked for mid-rare or sent back because they weren't cooked long enough at medium when what they really ended up getting was a medium-well steak. If it comes down to having to argue balls and strikes about whether something is medium or mid-well or mid-rare, I've got no pity for most of these customers. They just need to shake it off.

I'm trying to remember the last time I've sent a drink back. The most I've ever done is asked the waiter or bartender to just send me an extra shot in a side glass if I thought the drink was weak. But these people that send back alcohol are a different breed of royalty.
