Oh yeah Fulmer runs his mouth like crazy. He came in to close last year vs us in Hoover and turned to our dugout to talk trash. He does it after just about every inning ending K. Thought some of the fans were gonna come out of the stands last year and beat his ass. He's a Lakeland kid that I'm not sure how got away.

If we had a pitcher that led the SEC in Wins, ERA, and strikeouts, and also had a National Title under his belt I would care if he talked trash. Basically, we hate 'em cause we ain't 'em - much like they view us in football.

Stop being modest. Your team is the team to beat

They are hot right now, but I really don't think so.

Vandy looks great. Louisville is the real deal. I think LSU is outstanding.

The problem with Florida is that throughout the year, they have been beaten on Friday nights often. A good pitcher shuts down that lineup. Lately, they've been hot. But, even at the SEC tournament, they lost game 1.

I like their depth. They are a team that can lose and is not out of it. I love their defense.

The key, for me, is do they give Shore run support on day 1 and does the good AJ Puk show up or the mediocre AJ Puk. Yesterday was the mediocre Puk, but it's not a problem when you put up 11 runs. There are times where he is unhittable. And there are times where he is wild and issues walks or is wild in the zone and gets hit pretty good.

I wouldn't have Florida as the favorite. I really wouldn't. However, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised to see them pull it off either.

There are a lot of small things that seem to be going their way.

For instance, I think Guthrie getting hurt has been a blessing in disguise. Since then, they've had Bader in the lead off spot and hit Guthrie in the 9 hole and I think the lineup is better, or has been better, because of it. If Guthrie doesn't get hit on the wrist, that doesn't happen.

Fulmer has shown his ass his entire career, well before he had a NC. He got into it with the home plate umpire yesterday over what he thought should've been several strike 3 calls. He's a hot head and announcers have said more than once, scouts are evaluating his "coolness" and antics as much as his skillset.

Having just looked it up, another break Florida seems to have gotten is that when the CWS starts, Vandy, LSU and Louisville will all be on the other side of the bracket and Florida wouldn't see them until the championship series.

I may be mistaken.

So, Florida's side of the bracket will have Miami, Virginia, and Missouri State/Arkansas. That would definitely be the weaker side of the bracket.

Having seen that, Florida probably would have the best odds of winning the thing, because getting to the Championship Series is half the battle. Not having to face Vandy, Louisville and LSU would be a big deal.

But, it's baseball. In 2012, Florida had a AAA team and was 0-2 and the bar-b-q.

MO St hitter broke an aluminum bat which I've never seen. He just stood there in the box and when he realized the ball was live he was looking around at the umps expexting them to call the play dead. Obviously this happens all the time in MLB and the play is live, I would assume it's the same in college, especially since the crew considered it live. Not sure what the batter was thinking just standing there looking at the home plate umpire.

Hell of an effort by state after the debacle on Friday.

Very very little difference in the teams. State should have hosted and that would have made the difference in my mind

Hats off to that program!

Very good shot.

Not sure A&M gets it done, but would bet on Louisville, lsu, and vandy

Same here. I picked TCU, but I keep expecting A&M to break out and hit the ball more like they did during the year. (Granted Morrison for TCU today is a stud)

Everyone has a bad day and everyone has days where they play out of their mind, but MSU just looks like they flat out don't belong here. I hate Vandy with a passion but the committee failing to give them or TAMU a national seed in favor of a Missouri Valley team is an embarrassment for the committee.

Missouri State not being able to host this series in Springfield is fitting, they didn't deserve it in the first place.

Older bump, but why was Missouri St. not able to host? Is their stadium not good enough or something? I thought it odd they were the higher seed but Arkansas was hosting.
