Mallett to Arkansas

UT's QBs are a lot better than Mallet. He'll be a nonfactor at Arkansas. Plus, Petrino will probably bail out in a couple of years for another job.

I'm glad he went to Arkansas. We won't play the Hogs while he's there, but Florida and Georgia will. If he becomes as good as people think he will, maybe he'll help the Vols by giving the Gators or Dawgs an extra conference loss.

It also helps that the Hogs hired Petrino...

Scout.com: Mallett Visits Arkansas

There is the link on Malletts visit to Ar-Kansas...if that is his choice so be it....he is shopping schools and trying to find the right fit...we have three guys right now that can lead us...Crompton, Coleman, Stephens...I beleive all their blood RUNNETH ORANGE so if we goes to UA and puts a pig on his helmet we will lay the beatdown like this year....

I would take Crompton over mallet anyday of the week. Crompton is a proven player and has the heart to lead the BIG ORANGE!

Too bad he went there - his new coach will be gone before he graduates (if Petrino keeps to his usual pattern) and he gets to get beat up by LSU every year.

At least Ron Powlus completed a full season as a starter before folks started overrating him. I've learned, on this website, that Mallett is a sure fire 1st rounder and would start for any school based on the few games he's played at Michigan and a high school all star game. Give me a break, who really cares?

Good luck to Mallett.. I really don't think he is the type of qb Clawson utilizes. I may be wrong. I'm basing my opinion from the video's I've seen of his offense.

On the other hand if he goes to Arkansas the recruiting is going to take a couple of years to catch up to him as far as recievers go.. Is Monk still there?

Beano Cook said he would probably win 3 Hypesman trophies before he played his first game at Notre Dame..

Mallett's only visited Arkansas
He hasn't committed

In fact someone tried to use this thread on an Arkansas board as evidence that he did commit

Monk's done, he was a senior last year.
They really have no one returning, except a kid named Lucas Miller, and a tightend in Ben Cleveland

Beano said he'd win 2. Brent Musberger said he'd win 3, but he said that during Powlus' redshirt freshman year, in which he broke ND's TD passing record.

Sounds like ARKY is just more desperate than we are, but if someone wants to play in the NFL, competition for a spot in college shouldn't run them away. If he comes to UT, he'll have more QB's of similiar caliber from whom he could learn--and our new OC sounds like the ideal QB coach.

CDC seems Peytonish--if I might be so bold as to compliment a coach with such high praise. Whoever studies under him will benefit from that experience when they do move on the NFL. The intelligence part seems to be what PM did so much better than HS in transitioning to the League. Shuler had the altheticism for the League, IMO.

maybe a little premature
Let's see how Crompton and Coleman develop under his leadership.

The new "oc" is coming into a pretty good situation, Crompton has some playing experience, our wide recievers are back, and Creer, is in the back field

I'm not concerned if Mallett goes to Arkansas or anywhere else. I'm more surprised that anyone with a pulse would want to be a part of a Bobby Petrino led team. Ryan Mallett needs to ask Arthur Blank what kind of human being he will be playing for if he choses Arkansas. Petrino is a first class loser and quitter.

And he was the first to admit that. UT might also be almost a perfect scenario for him because we have very good talent at almost every position. Very balanced.

Ya, it's premature, but the cards showing so far look good.

I have a feeling they've already heard that from the rest of the United States. .

It does seem rather obvious without rose colored glasses or whatever their homers wear. I'm just glad I'm not 'blind' to reality.:)
