Odd how every great prospect/transfer/coach who choses not to play for the Vols gets thrown under the bus on by certain people on this board.

I haven't really seen anyone throw Mallett under the bus so much as say he's a fool for choosing Ark over UCLA.

There is a difference between being thrown under the bus and throwing yourself under it, IMO.

That's precisely why he should look around. His family likes Arky, so I get that, but I'd be scared Petrino leaves sooner rather than later. UCLA isin't close to home and apparently he was home sick at Mich and if RN doesn't hire Loefller. In addition, Rick Neuhiesel???? What about USC, I mean if he's as good as they say? What about Texas? What about Oklahoma? If ya want to play right away, Ole Miss maybe. I just don't understand this "short list". :dunno:

I don't know anything about Ryan Mallett so I can't possibly have a problem with the guy. I don't have a problem with Arkansas or its fans either. I do have a problem with Bobby Petrino being a snake in the grass and can't see how anyone would play for that guy. To me it has nothing to do with worrying how long Petrino will be there, it's the idea of playing for the loser in the first place. I'm certainly glad that UT has a coach other than Petrino and if that means I'm throwing him under the bus than my only problem would be if I'm not driving it too.

I expected better of you than that. I had already shown that I meant to say Clausen not Crompton. It had been mentioned about 3 or 4 times before you said anything.

yes, but they will be down to their 3rd back. but it still would of been nice to have him. plus i dont think we play them for a couple of years except for the championship game
