Manti Te’o documentary (Netflix)

But that's the thing. You do not know. You know what the media reported during the event. This is not a discussion about that media coverage. It's a discussion about an in depth documentary that added a lot of new and different information. You quite literally have no clue what you're talking about.
And as I have said nothing presented here has offered additional details that would get me to watch the documentary, even if I had Netflix. I was coming here hoping for cliff notes and what I have seen hasnt impressed me. Sorry that bothers people.

Its 2 hours long and extremely complex. I doubt anyone wants to spend the time to type out cliff notes. Is it worth buying Netflix for? Probably not. If your mind is made up there's no point in watching it anyway.

Good watch. It definitely puts Manti in a different light IMO. Quality kid and family. The perpetrator of the catfishing scam is the problem here. Just a sick mind.

The thing about it that I still cannot get past is you have this guy, world class athlete and campus celebrity who could go out with virtually anyone he wanted. Why did he choose to debelop an online relationship with a girl a thousand miles away he had never met or even seen in person?

Did you watch it? It didn't start out that way, originally they would just hit each other up on Facebook occasionally. And she was allegedly Samoan, which was a big deal in his world.

I think the explanation put forth in the documentary was that it fit his schedule better and he felt like there was a connection. I mean, I can believe he barely had any free time. And as a mormon I guess he wasn’t into casual sex. Also don’t forget he thought she was a smoldering hot chick.

There were smoldering hot chicks he saw every day on the ND campus, I'm sure.

Despite his background/upbringing, that angle of this story is still hard for me to believe. I finished the doc last night and there was very little new information.
