He was a part of the whole thing, and it's not debatable. The question is did he do this for publicity or because he's hiding that he's gay.

This is like the fifth time I've said this, so I'm sure people are tired of it, but that would complete sense................had he not killed her off.

And if I'm Manti, and came up with this hoax for publicity, and it leaks I was in on it, I'm totally saying I'm gay (even if it's not true) because that immediately switches the pendulum to your side.
