March Madness Selection Show

UVA shouldn’t concern you. They’d try to muck the game up, a la South Carolina, but they wouldn’t be able to score enough against the Tennessee defense.
Agreed. Every game this year when was close teams that have a player of going and creating their own shot. They struggled to keep pace. We know DKs left hand attacking basket can get us in positions to advance if we draw them.

UNC are not our rivals and they got the 1 seed so not sure why they would be mad at us..
They won’t be but the crowds always pull for the upsets. I’ve been to several of these opening rounds and the other fanbases always pull for the higher seed when it’s close. The only fans that will pull for us if the game is close is Tennessee fans. We were essentially playing a road game against Loyola Chicago and they only had like 1000 fans total

Q about bracket locations……is it always East (upper left), West (lower left), South (upper right) and Midwest (lower right). I can’t ever remember to compare year to year….anyone??

Brucipher already complaining. What a dork.

But in threads here, we have had Vol fans complaining recently and previously about bracket placement for us over the years and that's ok? I did not see any complaints abbout namecalling by others of UT fans, coaches, etc. when those posts were made. Also, nice association of a former coach with evil. A great christian thing to do. Call the evil jewish guy names. Shall we associate our current coach with a holy being? He did quit cussing you know.

never saw so many "fans"? beat up on the team they support as in this thread. Many trying to find reasons why we will lose.
Personally, I like the matchup possibilities. We are more talented than St. Peter’s, UVA, Texas, Creighton, Jr, etc. I don’t think any of them are bad matchups. We will go to the Elite 8 if we play our game. I know it’s a big “If” but that holds true for every team.

What are you taking about? Who is name calling?

Poor UCONN, everyone in the world is picking them to win. That means that there's basically zero chance that it happens.

Your posts might make him start cursing again

I'm not saying that St. Peter's sucks and we should look past them or anything .... but they do have two losses a piece this season to Fairfield, Rider and Quinnipiac. They also lost to Niagara and Marist.

This is the problem with Tennessee sports teams. Not blaming you, but the collective consciousness of our fanbase is so negative, (and understandably so) it can become a self fulfilling prophecy. We are what we think. I pledge to do my best to think positively, and believe we WILL win every game. Godspeed, and Go Vols!

The fans don't score one basket. UT fans support the Vols by attending games and cheering them on. Fans that are realistic about the possibilities of losing games are always happy when the team surprises. Other than those creating in game distractions for the opponent; fans have no impact on game outcomes. That is a myth.
