I wonder if this will gain any ground considering the current political climate and growing support for legalization.

I know my family would love to switch from tobacco to cannabis if it’s ever legalized. Seems like a very profitable crop for the south too. Particularly North Carolina and Tennessee.

It is stupid that cannabis is illegal.

It is 100% due to big pharm lobbiest and K street.

I have a friend who has serious insomnia issues and has had them since he was 12. He would go days without sleep before crashing. He tried lamp therapy, sleep clinics, and meds like trazadone. Nothing worked.

He now uses an indica called Northen lights to help him sleep. Started about 1 year ago and does about 3 hits before bed time. First time in his life he can actually turn his brain off and sleep. Wakes up the next day totally refreshed and literally no hang over like trazadone gave him.

Also a sativa is much much healthier for you to use instead of alcohol if you are out and just wanting to chill or relax.

You have pain issues 9 pound hammer is better than anything and will relive serious back pain.

Just stupid this stuff is illegal.

Legalize it and tax it and use the revenue to offset tax losses from covid.

Atleast....that's what my friend who lives in a state where its legal says.

It means they’re finally tired of not being able to tax it.

Trying to be serious here. I've seen in some states where decriminalization simply meant the police weren't going to arrest you for possession of small amounts. Would this bill mean that the fed government will no longer consider growing, selling, possession a crime?

Bill will make growing illegal unless a sanctioned manufacture I believe.

It will be regulated the same way alcohol is.

I am anti weed personally, but for legalization. So it's never personally bothered me that the feds have outlawed it. It's pretty low down my list of governmental concerns. Anywho, even I laughed when the Obama era FDA admitted it stayed where it was because they couldnt reproduce the effects with man made products. They straight up admitted that big pharma was behind it. That's inexcusable.

Let's states decide on the criminality?

If the feds legalize it I think most states will be unable to keep it illegal and it would end up in the supreme court.

I know tn has a bill on hold that if passed would legalize it only if the feds legalized it.

I do slightly follow it for curiosity sake......

There will always be a black market but for a large majority it will be bought in sanctioned stores.

The regulated cartridges dont have vitamin E or filler which is what is dangerous.

Buy stock in select, bloom, or heavy hitters. Those are the main 3 and about to blow up.

I have been around both coke heads and pot heads.

The pot head will just eat all your food. The coke head will kill you for 5 bucks to get high.

I can't be pro cocaine or meth.

I have literally had teenagers die who worked for me due to it.

I'm not pro any drug, I'm just pro ending the failure that the war on drugs has been.

I think they’d remove it as a schedule 1 drug. Then states would still have to decide?

The bill also imposes a 5% tax on it.

If just 10 percent of people use weed and spend 100 per month this would generate 190 million in tax revenue per month. Not including a state tax on top of it.

The 5% tax will strengthen the illegal weed market because the states will add their taxes on top of that.
