BG and VK, thanks for proving my point. Keep on trying to prop up a guy who:
--Signed a class in which at least half of the players quit, flunked out, or were arrested too many times to stay in the program
--Started running his mouth in the press conference and didn't back any of it up
--Ignored the storied traditions of the University and tried to instill USC traditions here.
--Lost to an inferior UCLA team with some stupid play calling at the end of the game. This after running his mouth all week about how they knew how to beat UCLA
--Got blown out by a mediocre Ole Miss team and embarrassed in the bowl game
--Lost the Alabama game by allowing 45 seconds to run off the clock to set up a 40+ yd FG with a kicker who had been erratic all year.
--Deserted UT right before signing day and then tried to steal the best recruits from that class.
--Has been fired from every HC job he had except UT and he left before he got the Vols on probation.
--Pat Haden fired him at the airport and left him there without a ride.
This is the guy you choose to defend and try to prop up as someone who did a good job at UT. He did almost as much as Derek Dooley did to destroy the program. Kiffin is a loser and I"m glad he showed his true colors after only one year and left.
Everyone? They're like Calipari: smart enough to bend the rules, but not dumb enough to get major violations for it.
The USC highlights were much ado about nothing, IMO. If Cutcliffe, in his first year at Duke, had Peyton Manning Tennessee highlights playing in the Duke facilities to show recruits what he helped build, would anyone here be mad?
Mark Richt will lead Miami to at least 2-3 national championships!
