Mark Richt Fired

BG and VK, thanks for proving my point. Keep on trying to prop up a guy who:

--Signed a class in which at least half of the players quit, flunked out, or were arrested too many times to stay in the program
--Started running his mouth in the press conference and didn't back any of it up
--Ignored the storied traditions of the University and tried to instill USC traditions here.

--Lost to an inferior UCLA team with some stupid play calling at the end of the game. This after running his mouth all week about how they knew how to beat UCLA
--Got blown out by a mediocre Ole Miss team and embarrassed in the bowl game
--Lost the Alabama game by allowing 45 seconds to run off the clock to set up a 40+ yd FG with a kicker who had been erratic all year.
--Deserted UT right before signing day and then tried to steal the best recruits from that class.
--Has been fired from every HC job he had except UT and he left before he got the Vols on probation.
--Pat Haden fired him at the airport and left him there without a ride.

This is the guy you choose to defend and try to prop up as someone who did a good job at UT. He did almost as much as Derek Dooley did to destroy the program. Kiffin is a loser and I"m glad he showed his true colors after only one year and left.

What probation was coming? Give evidence he "cheated", surely you know.

Pat Haden is possibly a bigger joke of an AD than Hamilton, so him firing him means nothing. This is a man that's ended up on about his 4th choice for a HC three consecutive times despite having a top 3 job to sell. USC sanctions ended in summer of 2014, I'm not sure what Haden expected a coach to accomplish under that penalty. Im sorry I don't hold it against Kiffin for losing games while simultaneously losing 30 scholarships.

You keep arguing points no one is disputing. Kiffin's ability to attract and land top TALENT (strictly talking about pure talent) isnt disputed by many in the CFB world (except you apparently). That has nothing to do with his abilities as a HC, his personal life, his character, his ethics etc. Learn to separate the points being debated or drop your argument.

Everyone? They're like Calipari: smart enough to bend the rules, but not dumb enough to get major violations for it.

The USC highlights were much ado about nothing, IMO. If Cutcliffe, in his first year at Duke, had Peyton Manning Tennessee highlights playing in the Duke facilities to show recruits what he helped build, would anyone here be mad?

The problem was that Kiffin didn't know that he already had a great brand to sell. It always came across to me that he felt like he was doing us a favor by being here. He was showing the good Tennessee people how to build a program like USC, we didn't know what we were doing and he was going to save us.

If Richt couldn't get it done in Georgia with the talent they have, he isn't going to do it in the state of Florida while having to compete against UF indirectly and FSU directly for recruits.

Or is he coaching them in a sport other than football?

The State of Miami is all he needs
