Marlon Brown Unhappy at GA

You only have to sit out one year if you transfer to a school in the same Division as you(FBS). The SEC doesn't have any more requirements on this. If you go Juco, you can play the year you transfer. And for the 31st time, Richt wouldn't release him to TN anyway unless he wasn't any good.

I'm not going to get into whether MB does or doesn't want to transfer, but I do have one question. How did Eric Locke transfer from Alabama to Tennessee in 1999? If Georgia won't grant releases for recruits to go to Tennessee I'm sure Alabama doesn't either. Anybody know the story?
Locke was a double agent sent here on a seek and destroy mission.

If Marlon wanted to transfer, I would say let him; would be great for recruiting to say he went to UGA and made a big mistake that he should have gone with UT all along

If he's so good how come he only had 2 catches and didn't play much. Well then, how come JJ didn't look so gopod this year. Maybe not having Stafford and Moreno made a difference.

What?! English, please. End questions with a question mark.

I think you're talking about Julio Jones (JJ), who never played with Stafford or Moreno. JJ is at Bama. AJ Green is the big, TALENTED WR at UGA. So much wrong with this post...

i think MB is saying

coulda woulda shoulda............been a Vol

tooooo late now.

I don't think it will work out, but it would have been best for him and us if he had come here to begin with.

Isn't this true only if your former school releases you to your new school? I doubt Georgia would release MB to Tennessee.

No. He would still only have to sit out one year even if he were to be denied a release. The difference would be that he could not have any contact with the coaches until he enrolls and that he could not be on scholarship during the year he sits out, IIRC.

Doubt UGA would allow him to transfer to UT even if he wanted to.

The way around this is by transferring to an FCS (formerly D1AA) and play a year then transfer from there to any school you want that will take you.

Saying that, I doubt he transfers and if he did I wouldn't want him. We have good WR's coming in and some good one already on campus.

Witch Doctor say Marlon Brown AND Granny are dead to us.....Witch Doctor say go back to Memphis and live your dream of being NOTHING.....

You can transfer to any school you want to, but you have to sit out a year.
If your school doesn't grant a release, then you have to pay your on way where ever you go un less you drop down a division. After paying your on way for a year you can be put on scholarship. Brandon Warren had to do this because FSU didn't release him plus he left mid-semester, if I remember correctly.
I don't think Tyler Smith had to sit out because Iowa released him and the NCAA made him elegible because of his fathers illness.
It depends on certain circumstances.
