Marlon Brown Unhappy at GA

I am sure the coaching staff would listen to him if he wanted to talk to them. He's going to be a good receiver.

The speculation in this thread is off the hook, as is the sanity of anyone who thinks this coaching staff wouldn't roll out the red carpet if MB went juco and came calling.

Actually its silly to discuss supposedly disgruntled players until they actually quit the team which rarely happens.

Hillarious. Truth spoken, yet the thread surges forward unabated.

Reminds me of the classic quote ... "All men stumble at the truth. Yet most manage to pick themselves up and continue on as if nothing happened."

Actually, it was the Orgeron cursed in front of Brown's grandmother. Don't konw if there is any truth to the whiskey breath

You are a big 0'for tonight:

While Brown wouldn’t go into specifics Thursday about the disagreement with Orgeron, he did dispel one message board rumor that suggested Orgeron had perhaps used inappropriate language around Brown and his family while recruiting him.

“Nah. No cuss words or nothing,” Brown said. “A simple disagreement. That was it.”

Georgia signee Marlon Brown had 'disagreement' with Vols' Orgeron The Commercial Appeal

If he really wanted to come to UT they would take him.

I say send him to JUCO next year, pick him up in 2011, and as penance he has to tell all recruits considering UGA this year and next what a massive mistake it would be for them to even consider that huge fail of a program right now.

he would have to sit out one year for sure so we would only get him for two...BUT Georgia will never release him to us or any other SEC school that they have to play. So this little dream will never come to fruition. Hate to burst the preverbial bubble.

Ya your like the 30th person to say that

haha wasn't trying to be a douche and I have a life as well. This thread just cracked me up so i've been reading every post. If I wanted to be a douche, I could've been a lot more harsh. Take it easy henry harda$$

Marlon will probably have a fine career at Georgia. He just needs to get over it...this was a rough year down there (though they may have a few more in store).

Had this board been around in 1996, I wonder what the reaction would have been when a DT who chose NC State over Tennessee decided that he was going to transfer.

How many people would have said, "Darwin Walker, welcome to your new home"?

He made his choice and now has to live with it...he is a Dawg now so he is the enemy. I say as long as he wears those colors, I have no remorse for him.

How good is that frosh QB Murray supposed to be? That might be the answer to all of Brown's problems; having a good QB.

Considering he couldn't crack into Joe Cox's backup roll, not sure. He is pretty Green. However I could see him fighting for the starting job next year.

"Brandon Warren, Part Deux".

No thanks.

Nothing against the kid, but he made his choice, and that's that.

Good luck, Marlon.

Go Vols.

I'm not going to get into whether MB does or doesn't want to transfer, but I do have one question. How did Eric Locke transfer from Alabama to Tennessee in 1999? If Georgia won't grant releases for recruits to go to Tennessee I'm sure Alabama doesn't either. Anybody know the story?

When you transfer within the conference, you have to sit out 2 years, unless you pull a Brent Scheaffer and go to a juco first...

your starting a little early on new years, aren't you?did you just decide to make that a rule for the SEC?my guess is that you are talking out of the lower part of your body instead of your mouth!

UGA had a senior QB this year, which means a new untested one next year. There goes this kid's sophomore season. Richt will likely have a new OC next year and be gone the following season whether he hires a new one or not, so regime change is in the air at UGA. That means likely a new QB and new system for this kid his junior season and a mediocre year, like ours this year, probably 7-5 if they get someone good. This kid's senior year at UGA will likely not leave him with a very good supporting cast around him. He may be all world but Georgia is a mediocre program, being run by a lame duck coach and staff, and very few recruits will be committing to them this year, which bodes not well for this young man's future if he's going to need a strong junior class his senior year.

Eric Locke had a Daddy known as Juicy Locke that would sue anyone and everyone at the drop of a hat was the picture painted by several rumors. If you like being balled up in court for years, Eric and Juicy Locke were your father & son team to recruit. Eric Locke was a major bust before he ever played at the collegiate level for no other reason than having been born to a father who interfered and mismanaged his son into football oblivion is my opinion.

Aaron Murray was one of the most sought after quarterbacks in his high school class. Cox was a fifth year senior. Richt, much like Fulmer, believed in a certain progression. Cox was the anointed one, and was destined to start regardless of any other factor. The only disruption in this process would be catastrophic failure on the part of the quarterback, much like the year Stafford took over as quarterback. Regardless of any change in Georgia's OC, the basic system is not going to change. Richt has been the offensive decision-maker from the get go, and still is. To be honest, I think we have more to worry about next year on the offensive side than Georgia.
