yep we are his last visit...I think Ole Miss gets his visit this weekend...I can't remember though...it might be next weekend.

"On Friday, Brown saw coaches from Ohio State and four coaches from Tennessee. On Saturday it was Georgia's turn as the Bulldogs brought five staff members."

"It was fine," Brown said. "I was impressed that Tennessee brought that many coaches and I was impressed with Georgia bringing everyone as well."

"Included in the Georgia contingent was head coach Mark Richt. Tennessee head coach Lane Kiffin made Brown his first visit the day he was introduced as head coach."

Vol assistant coach Stan Drayton has been recruiting Brown from the get go and Brown certainly hopes that Drayton remains at Tennessee.

"We are real close," Brown said. "We have a good relationship. If something happened and he wasn't there then things would change some. I would certainly still consider Tennessee, but it would change things for sure."

Well lets hope we keep Drayton...not just to get Brown but to get the Top Player in the state. I feel this will trickle down to other Top TN players so they know the staff means business about keeping talent in state.

you're darn right he's getting a lot of pressure to stay in-state. I don't understand anyone from Tennessee not wanting to play for UT...completely blows my mind.

well if you grow up with parents that don't root for Tennessee, it makes sense to me. my friends, whose parents were from GA & FL, always rooted for those state schools. it's all about environment and what you're taught. if I move to California or the moon, my kids will still grow up supporting Tennessee. it won't have anything to do with geography, it will be a reflection upon me.

I didn't mean no harm with it. Volnation is my home and I'm not trying to compete against. I simply enjoy blogging and web design and wouldn't do anything to rub VN the wrong way.

Seriously, VN don't got nothing to worry about. There is no other UT website on the web that competes with them. i could've linked the Lance Guidry storty to my blog 2 days before VQ had it but I'm not trying to rub people the wrong way. The only reason I did it this time is b/c the Marlon Brown story on my site is 3 days old and it had yet to be posted on here or anywhere else. My other site is my money maker, this one is just my experient/hobby.

Ahh, another held hostage by "if Drayton leaves then things will change" kid. Maybe he should go to SC with Giles.

Maybe people should calm down and cut the guy some slack.

This is what recruiting is all about now. The connections you make with those associated with the school.
