Easy Jack. I fixed it for you. If you've read any of my posts on here then you will know I'm rational and a football fan. Virtually all college offenses in America are based on the spread or have some portion of the spread anyway. So, you're telling me big WR's that want to make it to the NFL will not come to UF because of the spread offense? Laughable.Ha! Florida fans don't know anything about football.
I've never met a Florida Gators fan that actually liked football. They like their team, but they don't seem to know jack about the sport.
There's a reason top WR's go to programs like USC over Florida---pro-style offense. Like Ohio said---it's all about YAC. You don't have wide receivers catching deep fades and posts----well except when you play the mighty Vols.
Your coach wants track speed, not football speed. Other people want physical toughness and fundamentals, your coach wants dwarves that can run circles around people. In the NFL, everyone's fast, so the luxury of speed is largely negated.

The fact is that there has been NO chance that an Urban Meyer recruited gator reciever is in the NFL. Percy and Louis Murphey will be the first two to enter. We'll find out. If they don't succeed because of the offense they ran in college, then we'll know.to put it in your amazingly wise words........ Why?
You just had it explained to you in simple terms and did not give any logic for dissagreeing. I know you are gonna defend your team, but face the facts.
Bring up the first 60 kind sir. I'll bring up the last 10. "What have you done for me lately?" In all honestly, we are just enjoying our litte ride. It won't last that long. You'll be back.Yeah but that was pre-1990, everyone knows Florida football didn't start until 1990. Then we would have to bring up that nasty little thing called the first 60 years.
Classy post. I think he is TN bound too. Good luck with him.I live in Florida. The Gators are everywhere I look. I hate everything Gay-tor.
So as much as I hate to admit it, the Gators have put plenty of good players in the NFL, with an all time great RB to counter our all time great QB. And as much as I hate to admit it still, my best friend is a die-hard UF fan and he knows as much about college football as anyone I know.
That being said, even he can admit that large pro-style WR prospects tend to shy away from UF, just because of the nature of their game plan and the fact that a pro-style offense may make then look better, therefore more NFL ready.
THAT being said, no one can count out UF just because of the 'Gator Factor'. If no one else has noticed, the nation and media lovvve Florida due to the recent success and prospects notice that. These kids have a chance to be on the 'best team'glare
, and that's a pretty big recruiting tool Florida has for the next year or so.
Anyways, Marlon will be a Vol. Kiffin will make him king for a day this weekend, and think its enough to keep him instate.:cool2:

If you believe someone who told you that he 'drove' to Memphis, I have an option on some sweet land in South Central FL that I'll be happy to move your direction.
