Marlon Brown

That is exactly correct. My point was that your original post didn't seem to really be based on very sound logic...there are a lot a couple of scenarios where her opinion could matter a lot and she would still not be at UT (and depending on how you spin it, it could be good or bad).

True.

I thought the logic was fairly sound. Whether it is accurate or not, we have no way of knowing. What I was saying is, if his Grandma was going to be crucial in helping him make a decision on whether or not to attend UT, then she would have made the trip. The simple fact that she didn't - given that Marlon has said that he has been looking forward to the trip and it is important in making his decision - leads one to believe that he is perfectly capable of making the decision without her visiting Knoxville.

This is all predicated, of course, on taking Marlon at his word when he said that it is still "very much up in the air."

Given that statement, then I would agree...my problem is that I don't put any stock in a recruit saying that...it isn't to disparage them or say you can't trust them...but that is what you have to say.

Come on fellas...don't read into his grandmother staying home too much. I like the idea of her not attending. That way our coaches don't have to walk such a tight rope. We don't have a staff full of Bible thumpers...it's a staff full of salesmen/coaches.

Rex is just wore out...Rex's motto is "wake up early and go to bed late...no body outworks him" - - when it comes to recruiting and filling everybody in at volnation.

It's all love, for him and all Vols fans. I'm just constantly amazed by how much emotion people invest in this. That being said, I would totally flip out for a grand slam on NSD

i'd have to agree with you there reb, he's taken how many unofficials? i'd say granny has seen enough of campus for now ...

Maybe Granny's been to Ktown before. We could speculate forever on this. The coaches are doing their best. We'll have to see if ends up being enough. I like our chances.

There is a thread up saying that Marlon Brown committed. It wont let me open up the thread and I havnt seen anyting else about it so does anyone know if there is anything to it or if it is complete bs.
