Marlon Brown

I will be disappointed if we don't have a great recruiting class, as im sure everyone will. But i'm not going to let something like losing recruits bother me any. I realize we will lose a few. But i will forfeit a good recruiting class this year for opportunities that i know we will have in the future. Once Kiffin shows his promise as a Head Coach, I believe that it will be easier for him to sell his "product" to future recruits.

Basically if we lose Oku and Stokes and don't get Marlon Brown....so what! It's not like Kiffin has had ample time to build a quality relationship w/ these guys. Won't be surprised if any of this happens.

From what i've heard Kiffin has done a wonderful job, almost Bruce Pearl like, in selling "The Program." I give Kiffin at least two or three years to get things turned around. We have too. Hell we gave Fulmer almost ten.

GO VOLS!!!! IN KIFFIN WE TRUST!!!!

Me too.. i hope every one else feels the same way. He had only a month and half i think he did a hella good job just getting to these kids for visits!

I think he goes to Georgia. I don't know why but just a hunch. I mean why would a guy from Tennessee want to play for his state? Doesn't make much since.

I just dont get why Georgia..I mean, they were rated 1 last season and basically failed to do anything. Then they lose Stafford and Moreno, so its not like a good QB and a great RB will be there to take the defense away from him.

Plus UT has had UGA's number for years...I just dont see why they'd be so much better than us...but I did just get my polarized UT orange tinted glasses in a few weeks ago so yea...lol

I really have no idea where he will go. The one thing I like that Kiffin told him is that "Everyone else might want you but Tennessee NEEDS you". He is just making him priority #1 and thats not what GA,OSU,Ole Miss have done. JMO

He is holding his cards close, having the last visit is a plus. Just hope it was enough.
Lane thru the kitchen sink @ him.

You seem to be forgetting the season we had last year....

"I spent a lot of time talking with Coach Kiffin and he was telling me how I was similar to a lot of the guys they had so much success with at USC," Brown said of the sales pitch. "His big thing was to let me know that Georgia and Ohio State both wanted me bad, but they didn't need me like Tennessee did."

"It was definitely when we were walking to the basketball game last night," he said. "I was walking with coach Kiffin and all kinds of fans were yelling and coming up to us telling me how they needed me there and things like that. Everybody was real cool about it. That was pretty wild."

nothing really. he is holding his cards close to his chest. no1 knows anything now.

It is all in what the programs are selling.

Georgia is selling a family atmosphere where the coach is looked at as more of a father figure (much like Fulmer was).

Tennessee is selling its self as an NFL farm league. It is more about business than family. It may work with some, but not with others.

Ultimately, a talented athlete like Brown will get into the NFL no matter where he goes. It all depends on the kind of college experience he wants.

The thing that I keep hearing him say is, "I want to go where I feel the most comfortable."

Unfortunately, I think he will choose family atmosphere over NFL prep school.

Great point and one that I had not considered. Keep em coming.

I think the big shocker will be Marcus Hall.....I believe will pull him in thanks to Mike Edwards...one of our recruits
