I hate to say it, but you are probably right. Kiffin walks around like he just thinks he is better than everybody else. Truth is, he should lose some of that attitude and realize that he hasn't done a damn thing. He bought some big names for the coaching staff...these kids aren't falling for all of the bs. These kids are picking other schools. Believe it or not, apparently the kids liked the wholesome atmosphere that Fulmer brought to the table, and the cocky prick attitude that Kiffin brings is not winning the kids over. Some will sign, but we are losing kids because of the difference in the " family" atmosphere that does not exist anymore.

I have to ask...the guy that told me he hated me because of my posting of the real state of recruiting right now...how old are you? I would have to guess you were 13-16 yrs of age. Please let me know that I was not conversing with an individual older than that...

If I had to bet on where Marlon is going I would bet the farm that he does not end up at UT. IMO we are out of it for Marlon. I really hope I am wrong.

Are you serious? Are you a bammer? The only people that i know he has been a cocky too is Spurier, Saban, and Myer. So unless those guys, are your guy, you can't be serious. He has shown respect for our traditions and coach that built the program. I just don't understand your logic on this one. I have met quite a few people that have met him in person, and only had positive things to say. Were you expecting to go from a 18th ranked recruiting class to the top 5? If so, I bet you were one of the guys saying we were only going to lose one game last year, while starting a new quarterback in the SEC. I hate reading all this negative crap from so called fans. I bet if you even went to the games last year, you were sitting there booing like the rest of the idiots of your ilk. None of the recruiting news this weekend has been a surprise to this point if you have actually read these boards. The surprise has been actually having a shot with top recruits that didn't even have us in there top five two months ago. But I guess your right, they only came here because Kiffin is a cocky . If you are a VOL fan, we would be better off without the boo birds like yourself. Or at least try not to act as classless as someone from alabama or florida.

I'm not 13. I'm 42. I'd be interested in knowing how you are privy to the "real state" of recruiting right now. If you mentioned your affiliation in a previous post I missed. My apologies if that's the case.

the sweet family atmosphere won us 5 ballgames the past year and has watched us get embarrassed on national TV roughly 20 times over the past 4 years.

I don't care if Kiffin had been Laura Ingalls, he wasn't about to overturn that disaster in one quarter. He likely won't overturn it in a full year either. Fact is that we fell from relevance and building that back is going to take time.

I agree BigPapaVol. Rome wasnt built in a day and BIG ORANGE COUNTRY will not be rebuilt in 2 months!!! I have been and still excited about the future of our program and think we will definitely be a major player in 2010. We just got into the "game" too late with some of these kids b/c of the coaching change...plus we just completed our staff! We can be optimistic but we HAVE to be realistic about this year. I think we will sign a good group of guys this year but next year you will definitely see us in the Top 10 in recruiting.

Not true. Show me the data that supports that every 4 star WR ends up in the NFL.

AJ Green plus Marlon Brown, Aaron Murray and possible Orson Charles would be an impressive haul for UGA.... I certainly hope this is not the case come 2/4.

Yeah...I've thought for quite some time that he was headed to UGA. It sucks, but its not the end of the world. Kiffin may be a great recruiter, but he just didn't have enough time to make a real impact on most of these kids. I think the staff did an amazing job just hanging in there for so long and battling top programs for some of these big recruits. The results may not be what we expected...especially with MB, but hats off regaurdless.

First post here... I think we might be in on Brown a little more than it seems right now. I am a student here and I have heard some Memphis rumblings...FWIW

BTW..thanks rex, you saved 10 dollars a month that would have gone to volquest

well now...nobody get excited because this class is going to be terrible. Forget about all the good players we already have on roster and committed. Apparently the coaching staff is terrible and why would anybody want to come play for them...I mean the nerve of Kiffin to have a little confidence in his ability to turn a program around. I mean...I was his biggest fan two days ago, but now I don't know...we lost a former 2 star linemen and Oku was wearing an Auburn shirt...oh the horror.
