Marsalis Teague

It's been well-known around town that Teague really likes Florida as a choice. I wouldn't call it 80-20 at this point though. I'd say 65-35, with the 35 being us or Bama.

seriously.. how accurate is that 35% LOL

but yeah, I feel if there's anyone to try and sway a recruit our way, I feel 100% confident Kiffin can do that..
i just hope he has enough time to do that, as we were so farrr behind with Teague when Kiffin got here

completely wrong, Florida has a 50% chance of being 68%, UT has an 82% chance of being 39.62%, and Bama has a 98.1% chance that no one in the country likes them or thier coach.

So there is a 50% chance that the 35% is either us or Bama:crazy:

That would be the same odds as a 40% chance that he'd pick us or bama after allocating a 56.25 to 43.75 split favoring Florida versus the balance.

Do you guys think Kiffin is focusing more on the split of UF versus the balance or more on getting better odds versus bama under the assumption that he doesn't choose UF? :)

Hmmm.. I was just trying to provide some insight from someone who's known the young man for a good deal of time. Pardon me - I'll just go in every thread in this forum and post "man we need this kid" 10 times to really contribute.

Now, come on. We're just cutting up with you. :p

Good insider information is hard to come by--and this is a guy UT needs. He looks good in the ongoing all star game. So does Allen.

I wonder what Florida is recruiting him to play? He's going to be buried on the depth chart there at almost any position.

Does he want to play Offense of D? I read where kiffin said he would try him at slot. Would giving him a chance on offense be enough to sway him?

why? Because he's a 3 star? They obviously think he will be a good player, regardless of stars.

No, I've seen his videos. The guy is awesome. I pay little attention to star ratings unless it's for bragging rights.

He just doesn't seem have the speed some of the other Florida players do. They are deep at all positions so my feeling is that he would be buried on the depth chart vs. coming here and having a much more realistic shot at playing time. I heard Meyer is recruiting him at cornerback and we are recruiting him to play wide receiver. That's just what he has been told.

Yes - Urban is selling him on being the next Haden. Teague's speed is VERY deceptive. You look at his 40 times and you think he's not that fast - but when you see him in person it's a totally different story. He takes huge long strides.

All I'm saying is that it seems that he would find our depth chart more attractive.

Yes, conventional wisdom would tell you so. Teague has a real competitive nature to him, though, and would have no problem with having to compete. I'd say that if he goes to Florida he redshirts his FR year for sure. Him returning kicks with Gordon would be deadly, though.

Teague wants to leave the state from what I have read about him. Him and Allen will not be in-state next year barring something miraculous.
