Martin or Cal - COY

If you're an unbiased, knowledgeable, educated fan of the game of basketball, you have to vote Cuonzo Martin COTY.

If you're a racist, ignorant, illiterate fan of the game of basketball (aka UK fan) you have to vote for Cal.

Imho

Disagree. I love what CCM has done, but the fact is, he's still only 3 games over .500 with losses to Austin-Peay and Oakland to his credit. The fact that UT can still finish 2nd in the SEC is more of an indictment on the weakness of the conference overall (beyond UK) than it is a credit to UT's resume.

If the award were for best turnaround from season's start to finish, CCM would be a shoe-in, but it's not. If Tennessee were any sort of threat to UK in the conference standings, you could make a case for Martin. But, the fact is, Tennessee could finish 2nd in the conference and still be 6 games behind UK in the process. Cal has done the best coaching job of any coach in the conference, hands down, and those who want to penalize his candidacy on the grounds of team talent are being unfair. He shouldn't be judged differently than any other coach, despite how we as UT fans feel about him personally.

I vote for Cal.

Yes, which should have been obvious by previous/later posts. No matter though, I've placed my bet and if BlueBalls isn't confident enough anymore to take the bet then he shouldn't have run his mouth in the first place.

Hell, you throw a comma in there before cut and dry and it's obvious. Sorry bout it grammar police, I'll try to place every comma perfectly from now on so that you can understand.

No, you acted like a chicken sh*t and changed the bet. I said Ky would beat Duke if they met in the tourney. You then changed it to say that I should only pick Ky while your lame ass stayed on the sidelines and picked no one like a Nancy boy. Pick a team and man the F up. I'll take Ky. That's who I'll be picking in multiple pools unless someone on their team gets a major injury.

Meanwhile, you'll talk out both sides of your ass and try and crawfish on everything you've said when you've been called on it.

You obviously don't know the definition of the phrase, "talking out both sides of your mouth".

I'm not going to say with any sort of definitive wording that I "know" Kentucky will win it all because that is stupid for two reasons. One, no one knows anything as it relates to the NCAA tourney. If someone did, they would be a wealthy individual. Two, you only set yourself up to be ridiculed beyond mercy to make such a bold statement.

There is a big difference in you saying UK won't win it and someone else saying they will. You have 67 chances of a possible 68 to be correct, while someone saying UK will win it all has a 1 in 68 chance of being correct.

Do I think they have the best team on paper? Yes. Do I think they should win it all? Yes. Am I willing to outright claim that they will win it all without a doubt? No, and anyone who would is as foolish as you are to claim that they can essentially predict the future by making such an unequivocal claim.

Exactly. Nancy wants everyone to pick a team while he sits his lame ass on the sideline and says, "Look at what I did!!! I didn't pick anyone and won!!!" That's so damn pathetic that he should be embarrassed to even post it, yet he probably breaks his arm patting himself on the back for the sheer lameness.

If you're so confident they're the best team why not pick them to win it all? Weren't you the one who said something about talking out of both sides of your mouth? Hey there pot.
Hey boys, I'll settle this argument.
KY will win the NC this year. Book it.

Yea I agree. I tried to clarify what he had said and I didnt want was a heated debate about UK vs Duke to become an argument between you and I about how his sentence should have been structured. I probably could have said it better than "now your arguing english comp".

Haha, I have no beef with you at all. Its just this altidore guy trying to make a bet with someone where he gets 67 out of 68 and the other person 1 out of 68. I have asked him to pick one and I will take UK. He has yet to pick anyone against my pick (even though he is so sure that UK will not win).

I hate being the favorite. Everyone will be shocked if KY doesnt win the NC, but i wont. It's hard to have six games where everything goes right. Luck plays a big factor imo.

KY has the best chance, but dont risk your life savings on it.

Sarcastic post was sarcastic. Hyperbole to mock the comparison.
