He said that in the postgame last night. I wonder if that is a veiled shot at Tatum and who else?

From what I saw, I'd say he is referring to the whole damn team! Those guys were no where NEAR ready to play that game!

While true, he's not been a part of any worthy of note this year, without the supporting cast that he's had in the past four years.

Yea that was my thought process. Guys in all honesty are any of our starters performing worse this year than tatum? I get the hate for golden but IMHO tatum deserves to see very little if any time.

I agree...it's easy to be a supporting cast member in a big win when you've got Chism, Prince, and Scotty freeing up the court for you to get your touches. That wasn't last year, fine, when you've got Scotty and Tobias freeing up the court for you. Cam has always been streaky, and now his under performance shows more than ever before.

I'll get slammed for this but in all for cam bring benched and McRae starting and Richardson getting some minutes at the 3 too. May as well see what you can get from guys that will be back next year, Tatum is a lost cause.

I mean, that's is sort of what CCM said in his presser. I believe his quote, asked about benching the starters, "Either you play well, or you don't." I like how our coach doesn't mince words, and I think he is going to get us to where we need to be. This is an early prognostication, but I believe it.

The hate for Golden is unwarranted. However he does things at times (poor passes, shot selection, dribbling off the leg, overall poor game decisions, lack of lateral defense, etc) that makes you scratch your head sometimes, but he appears to always give his best. He's just in a position of having to run this team and his natural position is the 2 guard. He is Martin's best option, actually only option. As for Tatum whatever his motivation is it's not working and if I were him I would be concerned.

I don't know who he was talking about....but it is true, some guys just don't have that mental toughness that you need to fight through the adversity and win on the road. It is much tougher in basketball. The crowd pumps up the home team. Easy to make excuses

I figured Cam, McRae and Hall were his main targets. Golden isn't playing that well, but he's all we got. Martin has to bring in some guards. The juco route might be what we need for a couple of years.

Golden had zero assists last night in 33 min.

Tatum has always kinda been on or off throughout the years. I have never been able to correlate that to home versus away. I think he comes to play some nights, and other nights, not so much. I do not think that CCM remarks are directed at him. Not Stokes obviously, and not Maymon. I don't know about Golden. I think that Trae is doing his best but we need a true point guard

Not trying to make any excuses because he did play poorly but it's hard to get assist when you have guys like tatum, McRae and mcbee out there

Maybe, but didn't McRae have a monster game at oakland? I may be getting mixed up...

Could be Hall...he is inconsistent.

Or, McStache doesn't shoot the 3 very well on the road

Our perimeter game was off, but you can't say that he didn't miss quite a few assists on the inside. GOT to push the ball down low more when that's where the production is coming from. We did get doubled quite a bit down there as well though...

Tatum has been apart of a number of road victories. If anyone, I'd say Golden
Can you give me a couple examples where Tatum played good on the road and helped the vols win? Not this year, I do not remember any in the last couple of years but I have a short memory. Huh what was I talking about?

Hall, Wool, and Cam are all mentally weak.

Just waiting for people to say they don't want to play for him because he is throwing them under the bus. Where are those idiots?

It would be a completely laughable argument. We quit more last year in games we were winning than I saw last night. They are playing as hard as any team in the past six years. The only big difference is that the talent just isn't there like it has been in the past. Maymon doesn't have a Chism or Prince to help him out, and when your second best player is a freshman, it's not going to be pretty every night.
