While true, he's not been a part of any worthy of note this year, without the supporting cast that he's had in the past four years.
Yea that was my thought process. Guys in all honesty are any of our starters performing worse this year than tatum? I get the hate for golden but IMHO tatum deserves to see very little if any time.
I agree...it's easy to be a supporting cast member in a big win when you've got Chism, Prince, and Scotty freeing up the court for you to get your touches. That wasn't last year, fine, when you've got Scotty and Tobias freeing up the court for you. Cam has always been streaky, and now his under performance shows more than ever before.
I'll get slammed for this but in all for cam bring benched and McRae starting and Richardson getting some minutes at the 3 too. May as well see what you can get from guys that will be back next year, Tatum is a lost cause.
The hate for Golden is unwarranted. However he does things at times (poor passes, shot selection, dribbling off the leg, overall poor game decisions, lack of lateral defense, etc) that makes you scratch your head sometimes, but he appears to always give his best. He's just in a position of having to run this team and his natural position is the 2 guard. He is Martin's best option, actually only option. As for Tatum whatever his motivation is it's not working and if I were him I would be concerned.
I figured Cam, McRae and Hall were his main targets. Golden isn't playing that well, but he's all we got. Martin has to bring in some guards. The juco route might be what we need for a couple of years.
Golden had zero assists last night in 33 min.

Not trying to make any excuses because he did play poorly but it's hard to get assist when you have guys like tatum, McRae and mcbee out there
Our perimeter game was off, but you can't say that he didn't miss quite a few assists on the inside. GOT to push the ball down low more when that's where the production is coming from. We did get doubled quite a bit down there as well though...
Can you give me a couple examples where Tatum played good on the road and helped the vols win? Not this year, I do not remember any in the last couple of years but I have a short memory. Huh what was I talking about?
Hall, Wool, and Cam are all mentally weak.
Just waiting for people to say they don't want to play for him because he is throwing them under the bus. Where are those idiots?
