People are definitely inspired by Star Wars, more so than by many movies about "real life heroes." You are smarter than this.

BP is viewed as significant because it is a $200M budget movie built around Black people and elements of African culture, which is a rarity. Comparing it to a $40M Jackie Robinson movie is willful ignorance.

When the first Star Wars movie came out, virtually every movie hero ever had been white. If it had been the first box office smash starring white people, whites would have appreciated it for that aspect of it.

Not sure why it irks people so much that people like it, whatever the reasons may be.

Enjoyed it. 7.5/10. Middle of the pack Marvel movie which is actually a compliment. Chadwick Boseman is awesome although I thought Michael B Jordan came off as whiny and immature, not a straight up badass that they wanted him to be.

Well, no one is comparing Black Panther to I Have a Dream, so if it's not the buzz and excitement around the movie that upsets you, then it appears you're upset over absolutely nothing.
