If it's the weapon used in an assault (what I believe is what the prosecutor is trying to sell) it's still evidentiary. As you allude the grounds for such charges, particularly as I understand MO law, are pretty damn dubious and entirely political in nature.

What I don’t understand and probably never will, is how people think punching somebody in the back / side of the head when they have their back to you or aren’t looking at you , is something to be proud of . I won't say the average voter is uninformed but they the issues, topics and interest groups are not well researched. They tend to rely on the general consensus or popular opinion. They are easily seduced by fancy catch phrases and propagandists. Take a look at this board for instance as an example.
