In the Rivals top 100 High School football rankings, there are 33 teams from states with as many or fewer BCS level players as there are from Tennessee. So, 1/3 of the top 100 don't belong in the conversation? Only teams from FL, GA, TX, AL, CA, and OH deserve to be in the top 100? Good to know.

Also, the list of BCS players per state is from 2004-2008. I couldn't find a more recent version.
A lot of the really good teams that actually play tough teams - from the power states - get left off that list because they play a brutal schedules and end up with 3-5 losses.
Those teams with 4 loses would whip the **** out of most of the teams ranked in the top 100 - so yeah - generally that is the case.
There isn't really a good way to rank high school teams... so they just have to go solely off record no matter how many garbage teams that team faced that year (which
is basically all they can do and I don't see another viable option).. but it's basically like putting undefeated MAC teams in the top 25.. but not quite to that degree.
As will I. I don't know what to say to a guy that thinks all 200 of the four loss teams in FL would curb stomp Maryville.
The top twenty teams in Florida would handle Maryville no problem and only Maryville homers would argue differently.
If you guys honestly think Maryville stands a chance against the Pahokees and STA's of high school football then you are freaking high as balls. These powers have multiple highly rated recruits on their team every single year. There's a damn good reason recruiters aren't lined up watching Maryville and they are at these pipeline schools.
Hilarious. You haters are all the same. If one team can't beat Maryville, you piggyback on another team in hopes that they can beat Maryville. Since Maryville is clearly one of the most, if not the most, dominant teams in the state, you are piggybacking on another state. It's funny.
You're not missing anything. He's telling us that the worst schools in Florida would donkey stomp Maryville.
People like him/her can say what they want, but Maryville is in the top 25, and unless Whitehaven can stop them, then they will keep on truckin'.

You said the four and five loss teams in Florida would beat Maryville. Which of the 200+ four or five loss teams were you referring to?
I said some. As in a select few. I believe Maryville wouldn't be a top 15 team in the state of Florida. The MAC champion wouldn't beat the above average teams in the SEC and that's just the way it is. When you are out-talented by such a large margin - it really doesn't matter how much better the coaching is 99% of the time. But I do believe Maryville's coaching staff is top 25 in the nation easily - they dominate the state when they really have half the talent some middle tennessee schools have.
15 is reasonable imo - but still a guesstimate. There are tons of spots through out Florida with hot beds of talent.
