Pretty words that have no meaning.
Clear threats are bad?.....brilliant
The WHOLE question is what is a clear threat?
What is kind of a clear threat?
What is a little bit of a threat but nothing really to worry about?
Who decides?
No they shouldn't. They should assume LE and school involvement if a threat is attached to that. Not because he had a gun, and fired it with an instructor at a range. And especially given his statements attached to the video. If you re about "gun control" in the sense of responsibility and education you should be applauding his efforts to become better informed. Of course you re not going that route and it won't make sense because that doesn't fit your real objective.
I'm pro 2A just not a blithering NRA supporting liberals are going to take your guns idiot that believes a child, that cannot even own a gun and posts pictures of himself shooting a gun he does not own, should not even be questioned about it.
They questioned him out of concerns students raised. Legitimate or not those concerns had to be investigated. I really don't care if you think they didn't have a right to question him because they did.
It's not really fishing.
The reluctance to get into the true issue of defining what is and isn't a threat is very telling. I've seen the same reluctance with other issues as well. It's easy to talk in absolutes when you refuse to consider the reality.
I would say criticize all you want and then fire him/her. What did this one have to do with the discussion as hand? Right nothing.
What is the law describing what is to be considered a threat by a student on social media?
Talk about not being able to see the forest for the trees. I've never seen a more myopic group of people.
