Mass shootings in Maine

45 acp because they don’t make a 46
Mercia!!

I've always been of the mind the .40 was a solution in search of a problem. Modern ballistics have brought the 9mm pretty close to what the .40 brings.

To me, it just doesn't bring anything to the table the 9mm or .45 ACP can't. The recoil impulse is horrible and I wouldn't recommend it for anything less than a full sized pistol.

I picked up a little tiny keltec in .40 for very little money. I can't recall the model. It's ridiculous to shoot. My son calls it the little devil. 😅

Steel frame Jericho.
Run out of bullets and I can beat them to death with it

Several actually. The most notable are

.500 Linebaugh
.50 AE
.500 S&W
The crazy ones to me are some of the rifle round pistols. at least with the 50 its not the BMG. but there are some pistols designed for full on rifle rounds. there is even a 45-70 deringer. I get as a deringer its a literally a last case weapon, but I would have consider how bad I want to live before shooting that.

A 45-70 BFR is pretty silly but not truly insane.

For that there's this:

Hard on the wallet too.

And I'll add the Desert Eagle is easier to shoot than the Ruger revolver in 44MAG, IMO.
What you really, REALLY don't want to shoot is full power .44's in a S&W 329. It's their scandium model that only weighs 26oz. (for reference a Ruger Super Blackhawk with 4.62" barrel is 45oz)

Actually though "only" a .357 their scandium 340 is a J-frame that only weighs, and I am not making this up, 12oz.
