That would mean he just really likes Ames, if he gouge them to match the highest bidder?I think the notion that he got a raise just because Tennessee and maybe others wanted to talk to him is pretty mislead.
Buyout #s haven’t been released so we’ll see how much this means at brass tax.
I think when the numbers come out it will in fact be what he could fetch elsewhere. Meaning that he must just really like Ames and isn’t interested in living for anything other likely a very specific job.
You think it will be north of $6 million/year? Because Campbell could have gotten that elsewhere.
Imo it will be significantly less than what we and others were willing to pay. And that’s what would show he just likes it there and what he’s built.
We likely missed our chance. I think had we been throwing around the $6-$8 million/year at him in 2017, he’s in Knoxville. I don’t blame Currie, he wasn’t in that class then.
