Maui Invitational Game(s) thread

Michigan State's athleticism/Chaminade's ball handling has been hurting the Silverswords to an extent.

I don't think it'd really matter where the game was being played. I doubt Chaminade sells out their arena, so I don't think home court advantage is playing a big part here.

This is their one chance a year to get a shot at the big boys, and they're going to take advantage of it.

Hell you say. Chaminade beat Sampson's #1 Cavaliers in the Maui back in the day.

I know that.

My point being that this is a regular season game that actually counts. If Chaminade would have beaten Michigan State, it goes in the record books, as opposed to some meaningless exhibition game.

Can't knock them for getting a tough game from the little guy in their own tournament, even as sloppy as sparty looked.

OU sucked badly. KY's shooting from the FT line was possibly the worst I've ever seen. I've never seen so many crotches shots and near banks. The misses never had a prayer of going in.

The freshmen are decent, but Liggins is the difference maker and he was believed to be out of HS. He surprises me every time I watch. Neither Knight or Lamb impress.

Terrence Jones is the worst FT shooter to come through UK since Andre Riddick. Which sucks, because he easily average 10ppg from the line alone with his frequency at the stripe.

Of course we agree on Liggins, but disagree on lamb. (depending on your definition of "impress") Lamb is the other X factor for this team. Should be another great defender when its all said and done, fast on the break, and he is shooting better than 50% for the season behind the arc. 12pts, 3asst, 4reb, 2stl, a quiet but solid stat line off the bench.

Knight has played wonderful the first two games and played well in the first half. He jacked up a few ill-advised shots in the second half and became out of control at a few points.

Good showing by the home team. All I know is Chaminade was getting 33.5 points, and I took them all the way to the bank.

Ready to watch the Washington game and scout them out before tomorrow night. Assuming they win, tomorrow nights game will have some bad blood in it thanks to the Kanter/Jones ordeals.

Looks like this Washington game is over before halftime.
