Seeing as he has held on to some of Coach Phil's recruits. Doubt he will do as well from here on out.

Kiffin and O may be good, but look how many top ten classes Fulmer was able to get to come to Tennessee. I mean he was so good, he even got Gerald Williams to commit 3 times!

Kiffin and o had plenty of top ten classes and Gerald Williams committed 3 times bc he sucked at school.

It is a lot easier to recruit to USC. First, you have a lot of recruits in the LA area. Secondly, there is the whole Hollywood mystique. And third, you get a lot of exposure if you go to school there. Fourth, there are a lot of fringe benefits there (see Reggie Bush).

So if Kiff would have taken over mid season and finished 6 and 6 would that have been his best record since Fulmer would get credit for 3 wins?

Lane was given the rest of the country so he was able to find players. So the dude that started this thread about Lane can't recruit needs to do his homework.

He is recruiting Marlon Brown! something that Phil can't do.

Just saying, he had Fulmer's great foundation (ranked 6th in recruiting when he was fired) and now Kiffin is adding his touches too. I expect he will get a few of these good recruits like Brown and finish pretty high. It may be hard to duplicate in the future given the way the team went down after Fulmer was let go.

Ranked 6th. Thats because it was so early in the recruiting season! Tennessee had more recruits at the time but certainly not the best quality.
