Up to date the only true facts have been revealed by the media (ESPN, Local news, etc. or via official press conference. I wouldn't believe anything until you hear it in a UT press conference; whether it be pearl, the president or the AD., or on the local/national news. People hate chaos in their lives but loves to create it in the lives of others. Don't listen to any rumors on here.

Hat. what do you think happens to Tennessee after this is all said and done? Looks to me like Bruce is screwed, but what do you think it means for UT basketball and how long until we can start making plays for at least sweet 16s again.

It depends on how hard the 'AA hammers Pearl. I'm not sure he would be fired if he were suspended for a season. As you can see on here, there's a substantial portion of the fanbase who will forgive him anything. Since the roster is fairly young right now, they can probably survive if the 'AA accepts the self imposed recruiting sanctions as sufficient. If Pearl is terminated, UT should still be fine as long as they keep the coaching salary where it is at. The 'AA wouldn't likely be inclined to blast UT is the culprits were no longer employed in Knoxville. 2 mil plus per year will buy you a lot of basketball coach.

There you go. It's obvious that anything Bruce the Great says is Gospel. Some of you people are simply amazing.

Depends on who is hire. While some people think Bruce is the only coach that can succeed here, it's ludicrous. Now that Bruce has highly increased the profile of this school, UT would have absolutely no problem getting a good coach.

Woah now wait a minute. I am not saying to believe him defending his actions. I am saying only believe admitted mistakes he has made, IN ADDITION TO other confirmed allegations from the university, athletic director, and the local and national media. In a nutshell. Don't believe anything that is not confirmed from any of the above sources.

Unfortunately, information is coming out prior to being confirmed and it is all confirmed sooner or later. Fact is, Pearl is a cheat and hypocrite. Who knows at this point what all he has actually done? One thing for sure,this is a complete mess and to pretend that everything is minor is stupid.

I really like this new approach. Now Pearl should be praised for standing up and taking the hit. What did you think he would do? He has no choice but to take the hit. It's not like he is suddenly upright and outstanding in his approach and should be considered as above Cal or Kiffin, both of which have never been in this situation with the NCAA.
